Hey all. Just joined the group. I'm Tim's booking agent, and many of you have emailed me before with show requests. I do my best to comply within the routing strategy and all that that we employ. Anyway, its great to see so many motivated and passionate fans for Tim-- one of my musical heroes, as well as one of my employers! I also book and manage Peter Prince and his electric trio Moon Boot Lover. I was wondering if any of you were going to check out any of the band shows this October and November when he returns to a lot of the markets he and Tim played in the Spring. I wouldn't post this on Tim's group if there had not been a lot of interest from the group... Just wondering what you all think about PP and MBL... |

I've never heard either of their music, if ya send me some free promo shit i promise to give it a good objective listening. ;-)
So are you a die-hard Bowie fan or what? Did ya catch my not so subtle Space Oddity reference in the subject of the e-mail i sent you (ya know where I tried to get ya to book Tim in Madison)

Thanks for getting Tim to Atlanta! For future tours, you might consider Earthlink Live as a venue for Tim in Atlanta, it is a good bit better than the Variety Playhouse... about the same size, but atmosphere, location, everything are nicer. Plus it has "stadium" seating much sloped and comfortable than the folding chairs at the VP. Thanks again for the show... I cannot wait and I know a bunch of people who are going so it should no doubt turn out a success. -Jeff

Tom, yeah, thanks for getting Tim to Atlanta. I might have to drive six hours to see it, but that's better than driving seven or eight... or 50. Hell, I'm just happy to get to go. So thanks Tom!
And I haven't heard (of) either of the groups you mentioned. But like Isaac said, I'd be glad to give them a listen if you can hook us up, and I'll be sure to tell everyone what I think.
Peace, and thanks Tom, you do a great job!

Sad to say I can't send everybody free promo, but there are mp3s available at www.moonbootlover and www.janah.org.. Just go check 'em out live! Definitely a Bowie fan, but the "Major Tom" name was given to me when I was a kid by somebody who was a lot older and must have been a Bowie fan. Peace.

My pleasure. Get everyone to the show!!! When I lived in ATL, I was-- for a brief time (before the lease holders went bankrupt) the talent buyer for Earthlink Live (it was Center stage at the time). It is an awesome room-- probably the best natural acoustics in the Southeast. When TR came to ATL last, Center stage was closed, so we went to my buds at The Variety. They have put the time and commitment in, and that needs to be rewarded. Its a great room, too, and unless we have issues or sell it out in a ridiculous way, we'll probably play there again next time. This business needs more loyalty and honesty as it is, and The Variety came to the plate for us before...
