Hocus Pocus

Great show, I had a blast. There was a HUGE crowd there, much bigger than the past two TR3 shows at the State Theatre. By the end of the show, it had dwindled down to a much smaller number, but it was nice to see such a good turnout nonetheless. There were plenty of "DMB fans" in attendance, including one guy who kept requesting Two Step between songs (he and his girlfriend left after Betrayal or so).

I've never heard TR3 play Gas Mask before, so the show started off really well for me! Tim has a new (to me...) double-neck SG, and he used it for almost all of the new songs. Revelation was by far my favorite of the new ones. I can't wait to hear that one again! Move on Ahead had a pretty long jam in the middle that I hadn't heard before. Kool is a John Scofield cover (have they played that one before?).

The show was taped, and the taper (Ron Powell) told me he's going to put it on the Archive at some point.

I hope the rest of the tour goes as well as last night! I don't think I'll get to see the band again until June, but I'll be seeing Tim solo two or three times in April, thankfully. :)
