Holy poop!

I'm a total moron...I never check the "Home" page here, I just go right to the forum. Anyhow, Fluffy made an entry on Jan 12th about the release of the new TR3 album "Radiance" that will be ready for sale at the end of the month.

Sweet!

(Did everyone else already know this? My brain doesn't always work.)

This CD is just spectacular. Far exceeded my expectations. So many different musical flavors. I can't believe how quickly this was recorded... definitely seems of such high quality that it would have taken much longer to get the recording down than the few weeks Fluffy described in the other thread.. these guys had it down to a science apparently! Well done guys!

Don't worry Pam, I'm sure I will be telling anyone who will listen about my experience there. I'm really looking forward to it!

I was sure someone would have written on the shows page about the CD party on OBX last night, but nope, not a soul remarked about it here.

Sadly this website is but home to a small group of us and the masses have turned to MySpace, Facebook & Twitter to make their remarks.

I do hope that those going to Furpeace WILL post about their experience on this message board. PLEASE!!!!

It should be available at shows, as are many previous CDs. Collect them all!
TRmadeDave Posted - 03/01/2009 : 7:15:51 PM
Do they sell their CD on the road at their shows? I need it bad but i don't have a credit card...
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/28/2009 : 09:08:36 AM
I happen to be listening to it right now. Cave Man!!
PJK Posted - 02/28/2009 : 07:46:08 AM
Fluffy, thank you SO much for clearing that up for me. Things like that mess with my mind and drive me crazy!

BTW Still on a Radiance high!

2 different songs PJK I think RAA has only been performed acoustic by TR and never played by TR3. WJUBTDWO is a newer composition that RAA as well. It definitely has a New Orleans flavor to it.

PJK, what I would do is rip the CD to your computer. So if you ruin the CD, just burn the wav files (or whatever you use) to a new cd. Or you can burn it, and stash away the original.
Andre_Brazil Posted - 02/25/2009 : 1:28:16 PM
Dammit... I will take a while to listen to this cd ,until it arrives here in Brazil
PJK Posted - 02/25/2009 : 09:49:51 AM
Must be in the air, I am loving Radiance at home now too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE See You In My Dreams & The Wind Just Blew..., & all of the songs! Wonderful CD!

Fabulous album, my only neg. comment would be that I don't like this version of Ley Lines (old Leelines) as much as I do of some of the live recordings & live performances from last spring/summer. Something didn't carry through on this recording for me. Before it was strikingly "Jacoesque" but that feeling didn't come out as strong for me with this recording. Did you do something different Mick? Just wondering. I still love it so no worries, it is a great song, but something is lacking and I can't put my finger on it.

This is going to be like a few of my CD's where I will need a second copy because I am going to wear this one out for sure!
rubylith Posted - 02/25/2009 : 09:26:09 AM
THE ALBUM RULES! Awesome production value and great compositions as usual. Just got it yesterday!!!! Woohoo!

BTW, doing the dishes was never so much fun before, but tonight, listening to Radiance it was really fun. I dare anyone not to start dancing or at least doing some shoulder action while listening to this CD. It was really worth waiting for!

Thanks again TR3 and all who helped make this CD possible!
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/23/2009 : 10:49:46 AM
I haven't stopped listening to this since I got it on Friday. Cave Man rocks my ass off every time. Burning Season is also a favorite of mine, so funky.
PJK Posted - 02/21/2009 : 08:47:40 AM
Yes John you are on it too! I feel so left out, j/k

Very cool to have a CD with all your names on it! Most of all, great to have a CD with music that warms the soul! Thank you TR3!
jsemon2 Posted - 02/21/2009 : 02:14:33 AM

PJK Posted - 02/20/2009 : 8:55:06 PM
Got my copy today too and was happy to see so many good people here "thanked," Rob, Jon and Kevin! Totally Sweet to see your names on there along with Fluffy's (who is all TR's CD's). Very cool!
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/20/2009 : 6:19:19 PM
Just got the mail and the CD is here! I'm listening to See You In Your Dreams right now! I plan to not go anywhere for about another hour.
KevinLesko Posted - 02/19/2009 : 8:38:46 PM
You guys are going to love it. I had an absolutley miserable day at work today, and when I got home I popped in Radiance and now my worries are gone, just great music in my head. Can't help but to dance and tap my feet.

My favorites are: Victory Express, Caveman, Ley Lines, and Wild Country.
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/19/2009 : 7:32:18 PM
Yeah, the picture of the 4 of them with the '09 tour dates email made me miss him even more.

No CD in my mail today. Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow and will be rocking all weekend!
PJK Posted - 02/19/2009 : 3:25:30 PM
Nice that they dedicated it to LeRoi. Still seems weird that he is gone.

Not in my mail today either. Maybe tomorrow.
dancheatham Posted - 02/19/2009 : 3:22:08 PM
I got mine today! I did standard shipping, so you should be getting it any day now. I can't wait to listen!!!

BTW, it's dedicated to LeRoi Moore. Very nice :)
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/18/2009 : 9:22:36 PM
Just checked today's mail with extreme disappointment. Hopefully tomorrow!

Just got the email confirming that my CD was shipped. Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week...then I'm sure it wont leave the CD player in my car for quite some time.
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/13/2009 : 08:16:22 AM
You know, I had a fleeting thought to check the site yesterday to see if it was available yet, but I wound up getting sidetracked. Thanks Kevin!
PJK Posted - 02/13/2009 : 06:46:08 AM
Thank you Kevin! I just bought my copy! Woohoo, something fun to look forward to!

Oh and thanks TR3 for making it available on line!
And Thanks Fluffy, just because you're you!

I happen to like the cover art. It's simple and cool...and seems to fit "Radiance" quite well.

Who ended up winning the TR3 logo competition? Was it someone from the boards or did someone else come up with it?

It looks like I'll be going to the Seattle show on the 20th, so I'll be picking up my copy then (and hopefully a Chaos DVD too!).
Ranting Thespian Posted - 02/10/2009 : 8:03:26 PM
Can't say I am ecstatic about the cover art, but the track list looks great.

It's also kewl to see Wild Country made it on the disc!
Fluffy Posted - 02/09/2009 : 1:41:04 PM
Currently available at shows, still waiting to hear from MusicToday about when it will be available on their website. They said they would rush it along so hopefully soon.
PJK Posted - 02/07/2009 : 9:03:59 PM
Ditto!
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/07/2009 : 7:48:45 PM

Will it be sold on the website, or will we need to get someone at a show to pick it up for us?

I can get you some funds by PayPal too or however else you'd like to do it. Anything I need to do to get my hands on the new CD!

I'd definitely be willing to paypal you $15 in advance if you need me to!

You're gonna have a blast, this band is FANTASTIC!

I assume the album is available at the shows? Has anyone heard it yet? Does your offer still stand, Kevin? Which shows are you going to?

I can't wait to hear it!
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 01/24/2009 : 12:49:34 PM
That would be great Kevin. You're such a team player
KevinLesko Posted - 01/24/2009 : 12:41:42 PM
I can definately do that for anyone who can't make it to this run of shows
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 01/24/2009 : 12:36:23 PM
So if these wont be available online for a while, are any kind souls willing to purchase some at shows and send them to those of us that can't make a show this time around?
PJK Posted - 01/24/2009 : 12:01:54 PM
Very cool to hear that Kevin!

It looks to me that the westcoast concert goers will get first dibs on the CD. Nice for them, sucks for the rest of us. Actually, I don't mind waiting. Looks like it will be years before I will hear TR3 play live again. Too many great musicians to hear, too little $.
KevinLesko Posted - 01/23/2009 : 5:43:22 PM
On a related topic, if you go to the Music Today Tim Reynolds store it appears a few of the older cds that had recently gone out of print are once again available for purchase. Cds like Stream and See Into Your Soul. So for those of you who had been eyeing those $50 used copies of Stream online now they are for sale at a normal price!
Robbman Posted - 01/23/2009 : 08:16:20 AM
So is there going to be a pre-order?

The end of the month is nearly here. I usually come right to the boards too so I completely missed this. And even sadder is I missed your post until just now.
