Posted - 04/23/2007 : 1:08:47 PM I didn't see a thread reviewing this gem of a show, so I figured I'd start one.
Let me just say that Tim stole the show. I had great seats on the floor 13 rows back and was able to witness one of the best shows I've ever been to. Much like the show at the Wang, Dave kept mentioning a "fever" that he had and insisted it was the reason for his random stories. Dave was in a very talkative mood and it was a very intimate evening, or about as intimate as you can get for 10K people in a hockey arena. Tim really seemed to enjoy the night as well. He was smiling and laughing w/ Dave all night long. Dave kept pointing at Tim and saying his name after about every song and the crowd certainly let Tim know how much his ability is appreciated.
I think most will agree that the highlight of the night was Tim's solo. He started off wby making some sort of "beat box" effects w/ loops and then went right into a killer rendition of Stream that put the crowd in a frenzy. He then flawlessly went right into Kazmir which, again, got the crowd going. After Tim's mighty freakout was over, the entire crowd of 10K+ stood and gave about a 3-4 minute standing ovation, to which Tim got on his hands and knees and bowed to the crowd. Even Dave could be seen standing on the side of the stage clapping and shaking his head in amazement.
Fluffy really said it right in his review of the Boston show when he talked about Tim's gift to improvise during the show. You could see Dave looking over at Tim during a song and smiling and shaking his head in amazement at Tim was doing what he did best.
Overall, like I said, just an extremely memorable show. I can't wait to see Tim this Thursday in Newmarket and hopefully I'll be able to thank Tim personally for putting on a great show w/ Dave at UMASS.

Posted - 04/23/2007 : 3:17:19 PM Just wanted to chime in and say Tim was incredible at this show. The crowd was very appreciative of him from the beginning and he responded by playing his ass off all night. After Tim's incredible rendition of Stream>Kashmire and the HUGE standing ovation, he bowed to the crowd in what I thought was a very moving display of mutual admiration between him and the audience. This was without a doubt the best Dave and Tim show I had ever heard or witnessed.
