It was a hot, humid nite in Lawrence. The weather was humid and TR was hot. Great audience gave TR a standing ovation but the humid air was sucking our NRG. TR played a great set that was recorded by the opening act, Michael. We will have to wait on Michael's recording for the setlist, but what I can tell you is TR did 2 new ones tonite. 1 as yet unnamed instrumental and a vocal song named Two Ships. I am pretty sure this was the first nite for either of these songs. Good nite and have a pleasant tomorrow.

It was indeed a humid night...the neck of my guitar was sticky and the stage lights were milking me of all of my bodily fluids (not counting the subtle fluids of energetic essence, of course). Tim started with a gorgeous Come Together (which unfortunately I didn't get recorded cuz I missed the gun) and ended with a lovely You Are My Sanity > another pretty number I didn't recognize. He used his Moog ring modulator and DD-5 to excellent effect for two wild percussive numbers, and Stream was a winner with the crowd (as always) - most of them seated on the floor and gazing up in dumbstruck admiration (like I was). Compared to the last time I had the good fortune to see Tim, it was a fairly mellow show - even on the wild tracks, there was a strong sense of the silence under the playing and a methodical pacing. It was an awesome honor to open for Tim and a delight to be able to hear him again. I'll be sending Fluffy my soundboard recordings from both Tim's show and the tighter songs from my set in the next day or two, so keep your ears to the ground!

much love
Michael
