Posted - 10/01/2006 : 10:08:39 PM Most definitely the best room we have played in Denver. Hope any return visits to Denver will be at The Soiled Dove. It was a SOLD OUT performance and they turned away over 100 people. They had set the club up in what they call "cabaret style" which means it was predominantly seated and can I take a sec and say how incredibly NICE this venue was. The stage was high and the room was set up in tiers so the sightlines were amazing for everyone. The room itself was absolutely beautiful and it is a great place to catch a TR show. Great lighting, sound and over all VIBE. Some might call it shi-shi(however you spell that)but I and the band really enjoyed the plushness of the venue after the Black Sheep the nite before. Black Sheep was bare bones to say the least. Nice staff, just not the kind of environs conduscive to a TR acoustic show. Anyway, back to The Soiled Dove, after a ruff soundcheck it ended up sounding really good. TR was quite happy with it. They fed us in-house from the restaurant upstairs which was called The Tavern Lowrey and the food was amazing. They even had buffalo on their menu. YUM!!!
There were two openers this evening, one being Marcus Eaton and the other being Rob Drabkin and his set was anything but drab. He had a cello player sit in with him on a few songs and the show was quite enjoyable. Marcus followed Rob with another stunning set and then TR took the stage. Here is the setlist from in front of TR:
Unconditional Surrender of Space Come Together Betrayal The Truth Che Indoctrinate Unnatural Organ Spasm ------------------------------- Sinceritox Ancestors Stream-U Revolution Axiom Levee Snakes -------------------------------- Jemez 666 - Daddy Kundalini Bat Balls And Other Misinformation --------------------------------- Hands Full Doom Ocean Hold Arms ------------------------------------ Cold Sweat and the Protruding Meat Ediface
If memory serves, TR and Marcus did Impermanence and Rheginos as the encore and TR did an improptu blues medley that was not on the setlist. I will need to ask him again what that encompassed. The show was recorded by Kevin and John so you can look forward to this one very soon. |

Posted - 10/20/2006 : 02:48:35 AM Will do, but it should be really ez to tell which is which. Enuf different songs and Rew almost always thanx the city by name so it should be ez to tell which setlist goes with which recording. |

Posted - 10/19/2006 : 12:42:11 AM ah, shucks, I'd love to hear him do revolution. |

Posted - 10/13/2006 : 03:06:17 AM That is the copy of the setlist for the soundman, Vox indicates songs with vocals. Revolution is TR's "abbreviated for setlist" version of Revolution All Around. It's a TR original. |

Posted - 10/13/2006 : 02:13:38 AM When it says Vox, is that refering the amplifier?
Also, is that the Beatle's song Revolution?
<=== be kind, he doesn't know as much about Tim as you guys do |

Posted - 10/13/2006 : 01:05:14 AM Thats how I originally had them posted but then I saw Kev's pictures of the setlists and he had them posted reversed so I switched them. So I was right and Kev's pics are backwards? That was what I thought but I figured I could have gotten them confused in some bizarre, unexplainable mistake. LMK and I can switch them back. |
