Posted - 09/16/2006 : 05:06:56 AM Well tonite was a wonderful surprise. The show was sold out in advance and the room was quite nice. Reminded me of Finale in St Louis. Seemed more like a martini bar than a rock club. They had an awesome music museum in the building as well. Really SWEET! The staff was awesome and TR had GREAT sound. Thanx to Justin and Leann! TR's first words to me as he came offstage was "Wow, low-key crowd!" It was seated venue and that tends to provide us with a quieter crowd generally. It's funny though, after the Double Door, we thought the crowd was really quiet and when I went to settle with Leann she apologized for how loud the crowd was. LOL Perspectives definitely come into play when judging something like that. So let's see if the setlist bears out the "low-key" nature of the room:
BEAT NOT
Space Speaks To Me Decline In Reason Wayfarer Betrayal Fallen Fallen Fallen Che The Truth Indoctrinate - micro burst ----------------------------- High In The West Feeling Doors up Ancestors Stream Hands Full Levee ------------------------------- Pulsar Spurts Vast Horizon up Loose Enterp Pooped Wig Peppers ------------------------------- Revelation Doom Ocean Hold On-still on the toilet --------------------------------- Kundalini OR Cold Sweat
So the set ended with Ocean and TR never came back for an encore. He came offstage and made the "low-key" comment and was getting ready to head back when the clapping tapered off and the house music came on. We looked out and everyone was getting up so TR never went back out.
The show was recorded by the house, apparently they archive all their shows. They told me I would be able to get a copy of the recordings. It was recorded both audio from the board and video from a mounted camera. I need to contact them later as there was no way to burn me a copy tonite. They said it wouldn't be problem send me a copy in the future. So we will see when that shows up. |

Posted - 10/02/2006 : 3:41:35 PM OK, after reading through all of the setlists, this looks like it may be the GEM of the tour. Decline in Reason, and Wayfarer are two of my favorites, and neither really gets played all that much these days. High in the West and Feeling Doors are both rarities now too. Fluffy, be sure to follow up on getting that recording, I'd love to hear this show!!! |
