Arthen, all I have to say is that you missed out. Someone in the crowd next to me yelled out Mercy Street, and not only did Tim Play Mercy Street, but he played Mercy Street---> Of These, Hope!!! AMAZING.

Actually the entire show was amazing. For acoustic shows, this might have been the definitive show I've seen. The crowd was really good. It got dead quiet for most of Tim's songs. I can tell you for sure the following other songs were played: Betrayal, Che, Kundalini, Samantabarda, Hold On I'm Comin, Come to Daddy, Chaterbox, Stream--> You Don't Know, Doom, Indoctrinate, Born to Synthesise, Revolution All Around, Big Sky Country, Hidden Variables... and the last song he played was the craziest thing I've ever seen. He did Cold Sweat in full James Brown character: even introducing the "band" at the end. I can't even begin to explain it. But I know that both Dialect and Mason recorded video, so hopefully you will see it for youself. After that, Tim and Marcus came out together and did You Are My Sanity together, and then Tim said one more, and they did Rheginos--> Norweigien Wood--> Rheginos. Fucking Great show. Pictures and a better setlist to come (to DADDY) but I've got to work bright and early tomorrow morning before heading to Los Angeles, for the show at the Mint, which I hope will be great for eveyone coming down.

On a personal note, it was great hearing Tim cover a Chris Whitley song. He did it with vocals, and it damn near brought me to tears.

AHHHHHH, all the lovely memories!! LOL

Well my head seems fine, no blurred vision(except when I drink), no headaches(except when we are running late or the show goes bad). I think my "Thick as a Brick" head has withstood another knock. Thanx for all the concern but my homeopath has given me something for head injuries and seems to think I will be OK. I am lucky indeed.

Now can we talk about the show and stop talking about my clumsiness! LOL

Hey Kev, very nice pics. Sounds like a fantastic show. I hope TR will come back to the east coast someTIMe.

Hey Fluffy I hope your cranium is feeling better. I must tell you with conventional medicine if someone becomes unconcious from trauma it's recommended to have a CT of your brain. If you are having headaches, blurred vision, etc. you really should see a doctor. You could have swelling or bleeding in your brain my friend. The nurse has spoken... Seriously I hope you are better. After reading that it made me think of the TIMe your hair caught on fire

awesome Pics Kevin! Loved the one with the cop car! LOL

Haha, thanks. I went to the show with my best friend Chris, and just as we exited the freeway and came to a red light we saw a cop car and a tow truck in front of us, my first thought was that the cop pulled over the tow truck, but we then noticed the car was up on a jack, and he was having his tire changed. Luckily the light stayed red in time for us to take a picture. The cop totally saw us laughing at him, and I said to Chris, with my luck, karma is going to bite me in the ass, he this cop is totally going to pull us over tonight on the way home, luckily that didn't happen, but it was still funny to us.

As for the stick performance, it was indeed very good. When I walked into the venue, I saw Tom Griesgraber and immediately reccognized him, but I figured he was just someone who worked at the club since I've been there quite a few times. But later when he took the stage with a chapman stick, it hit me that I saw him at the Stick convention/seminar that I saw at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood last year. He did indeed play with Greg. The crowd really dug his performance.

Pam, you forgot two years ago in San Diego at Winstons, where they were locked out of their 2nd story dressing room, and Fluffy scaled a building to punch through a screen to climb inside! Man, I'm glad you guys keep coming back!

Wow. Just wow. This was my second time seeing Tim solo and it was exactly as I remembered my first show. The opening musician was amazing. As a fellow guitarist, I have nothing but respect for him. I hadn't heard too much about him, but his looping abilities as well as his overall knowledge of the guitar simply left me speechless. He reminded me of Keller Williams. Both are very creative in their style and maintain their own sound. He also had a great voice.

As for Timmy's set... Wow. It's Tim. That's all there is to it. It was cool seeing Tim move around and jump around from time to time. I haven't seen him do that outside of the Dave & Friends shows I attended. The set was solid and filled with energy. I did not want the show to end! I could've sworn that Timmy opened with Ohio, but I'm not seeing it on the set list. Meh. But holy shit what an incredible encore! It blew me away. I was sitting right in front of Timmy most of the time (the second half of the show) with a smile from ear to ear. I could've reached out and touched him I was so close! Seeing Tim play at such an intimate club was practically a religious experience. The only thing that sucked about the club was that the staff were dicks about talking (even whispering) and the crowd was a bunch of fucking yuppies. It happenss, especially here in SoCal. But none of that mattered when the music started! I can't wait till Tim's in the area again.

Oh yes, the irony of all my "injuries" in or around LA did not go without notice by us. Luckily I didn't fall down the wet stairs outside the dressing room at The Mint. I had spent all nite warning everyone that after it rained they were really slick. I was convinced that that doomed me to fall down them. Luckily it never happened. I survived LA unscathed, well at least as unscathed as possile in LA. LOL

Forgot to mention that this day also started off quite surreal. As we were checking out of the hotel in Solana Beach, someone checking in asked Rew if he worked at the 9:30 Club in DC. Kinda caught him off guard. We still don't know how he knew Rew. He walked away without Rew asking. DOH! So cut to a few minutes later at Starbucks, Rew and TR go in and the girl behind the counter goes "Aren't you Tim?". As TR looked up expecting to see another fan he was surprised to see it was someone he and Diane know from Santa Fe. Tiny small world! It's starting to feel SURREAL. LOL

Oh man! Forget being embarassed, I'm just glad you're o.k. What a bummer. I'll see you tomorrow and bring something for that bump on your head...Peace, Robin

So first let me say sorry to anyone I didn't see after the show on this nite. It was quite an encore for me. LOL As I helped put TR and Marcus onstage for the encore I rushed back to the dressing room to grab my camera and head for the balcony to take some pics. On my way I stopped to remind our hospitality person, Curtis about the ice after the show for TR's elbow. I turned and charged toward the soundbooth in the balcony. Unfortunately, I only ended up charging into a low doorway and knocking myself backward and sideways and every which way. Ironically, I had warned everyone on both our crew and Marcus crew about the low door as we had been there a bunch of TIMes and I didn't want anyone to clip it. So who should end up clipping it but me. DOH!!! Well I staggered around for a few seconds clutching my face and Curtis asked if I wanted some ice or something but I was trying to keep what little bit of "kewl" I had left after such an embarrassing exhibition. The lighting guy immediately appeared out of the lighting booth to see what had happened. He commented that he had heard the "THUD" and felt the building shake and wondered what was going on. He was amazed to find out that it was my head that had caused the disturbance that I am sure would have registered on the richter scale. Trying to play it off I strolled on out to the soundboard and the edge of the balcony, knelt down and snapped a pic that was awfully blurry. Still don't know if it was my eyes or just out of focus, but as I knelt down I started to feel woozy and my legs started to get wobbly so I decided it was probably wise to return to the dressing room and sit down. Well....I never made it. Next thing I remember I was being revived off the floor of the hallway by staff from the club. There was much discussion as I came too as too how much I had had to drink which was absolutely nothing. At this point, I heard Curtis chime in and explain to everyone what I had done and there was a group groan as he described "the event" to them. So now the embarrassment level is EXTREMELY high and I think the pain of embarrassment was 10 TIMes higher than the pain from whacking face-first into the doorframe. I was carried to the couch and a bag of ice applied to my face as TR and Marcus returned from the encore to the dressing room and slowly our entire crew made its way back and discovered my dumb-ass antics. Keep in mind the embarrassment factor is now rising exponentially. One of the Coach House staff standing over me as I was revived was Clyde, the gentleman I had to settle with. Sooooo embarrassing! Of course word spread like wildfire thru the staff about what had happened as it appears everyone had heard or felt it but had no idea what it was. Safe to say I was a tad our of sorts after this show. After the show we drove to LA and checked into the hotel and I slept and thankfully I woke up the next morning so no concussion, just a nice sore spot and lump on my forehead. Thankfully as well, my hat has alot of padding on the adjustable velcro strip and as I now put on my hat I discover that where that velcro strip lies on my forehead is exactly where where I have a lump and "the pain" so I am assuming that the had did quite a bit to safe me from more severe damage.

Having said all that, it was a great show. Tom Griesgraber(Chapman Stick http://www.thossounds.com ) was an especially nice surprise. He is really, really good. So good I was not surprised to find out he was a friend of our own Greg Howard. Greg has stayed at his house and they have done seminars together. NICE GUY!!! So was Mike Baas for that matter. As always, it was a long nite at the Coach House with all the openers but in the end it was worth it. Too bad I missed the encore. The audio was recorded by us from the soundboard and once again Keith shot video as did Mason, so this show should see the light of day very soon. I hear that TR and Marcus did 2 encores together that nite and of course I missed it. DOH!!

Yah, when he did Mercy Street in Teaneck 9/15/04, I almost detonated all over the walls. Can't wait to check these shows out! Fucking RAWK!

Dying to check out TR/Marcus tagteam.

Pulling out the papers, from the drawers that slide smooth; tugging at the darkness, word upon word.
