So this was by far, everything considered, the best show of the run so far. Fantastic sound, great audience, great setlist(definitely my fave so far)and exceptional performance by TR. The room was packed and everyone stuck around for the whole set. They were enthusiatic but not rude or annoying. Almost perfect as far as audiences go. Club treated us great and we all had fun after a long ass drive. Tomorrow is a longer drive, who knows, maybe tomorrow will be an even better show. Well see!!!
PS, it was recorded by the soundman to his laptop. He also set up some room mikes so we are waiting for a final matrix mix of the show. After the gig he played some of the unmixed recording and it sounded amazing. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like when it's done. Thanx to Greg and Andrew for a wonderful TIMe! |

Posted - 06/02/2006 : 6:18:56 PM I am also a first timer to a Tim Reynolds performance. I had heard some of his solo stuff and alot of his stuff with Dave Matthews. I found out about the show the day before the concert and was like "oh hell yes" so i tried to convince some friends to come with me but to no avail. So I went to the concert by myself and had an absoloute blast. Great music and I was just blown away by Tim's talent on the guitar. Its amazing to watch him play. A part of me almost thinks that its impossible to do some of the things he does on the guitar. I had a great time overall and got some pretty righteous pictures. If any of the readers out there would like to see them feel free to e-mail me or catch me on AIM. I just ask that no one please claim the pics as their own. Once again, had a great time and am looking forward to the next TR concert I can get to. |

Posted - 04/09/2006 : 3:27:51 PM Hey page0178, hope you don't mind, but I read this awesome review on your myspace page so I thought I would post it over here for everyone else. Hope you don't mind and glad you loved the show. Lubbock and San Antonio were probably the best, although Dallas was no slouch and we had the awesome room and lights as well as a 2 hour performance. It's always so hard to say what was the best as there are so many factors, plus my view is someTIMes skewed by business. Luckily there were no cases of that on this run.

12:57 PM - Tim Reynolds...LIVE Current mood: impressed
On Saturday night James and I decided to go out to Lubbock to see Tim Reynolds. I had heard him play with Dave Matthews before and thought that he was pretty good, so, sure why not. Well, we went out early, got a table and talked with one of our friends through the opening act. As time grew closer for Tim to come on, my friend and I move up stage...had to get a close look at this man that can do awesome things with the guitar. We made it up there in time to catch the last song of the opening act. Hey, they were pretty good, but not why I was there. The lights went down and Tim came out. No use wasting time...he started playing without even a pause to breath. From that moment on, I was in complete awe! Being a guitar lover myself, I could appreciate all he was doing! Pickin on a 12-string, every note clear and concise. What a dude! He is very talented and impressed me greatly, which is somewhat hard to do. So, if Tim comes to your area, I would DEFINITELY recommend you go and see him! He's quiet and tended to play his instrumental pieces rather than sing too much, but he puts on an EXCELLENT show! You will not be disappointed, I promise you!!!
That is all.
~Heather
THANX for the great review and I am glad you loved the show! |

Setlist looks great, it's really great this leg of the tour is going well with staffs and audiences.
Bridge of Sighs is a cover of Robin Trower but I think it's already on our list as TR has definitely done this before. |
