My buddy and I plan on taping video and audio. So far it will be 3 cams with audience audio and possible sbd audio if we can score a soundboard patch.

Fluffy.....is there anyway that you could get my buddy and I in early to set this stuff up and be out of the way when doors open up?

So pumped...this is my first solo Tim show.

Yes, indeed it was. Her name is Kathleen. She is from the DC area. She tried to shoot some video of TR but discovered 2 things...1 it was too noisey for here camera to pick up TR's guitar and 2 she didn't have enuf blank tape so she just hung out and enjoyed the show.

Hey Aria,

Thanks for the positive outlook. That would have been a significantly worse situation. (right now might not seem that way but, once my head is clear that'll be hilarious).

Later...

Thanks for the set list.... the lyric reading was really intimate, but it was so loud in the back I couldn't hear it well. Good to know what it was... I believe this....?

Space is infinite.
It is dark.
Space is neutral.
It is cold.

Stars occupy minute areas of space. They are clustered a few billion here. A few billion there. As if seeking consolation in numbers.
Space does not care.

Space does not threaten.
Space does not comfort.
It does not sleep; it does not wake; it does not dream; it does not hope; it does not fear; it does not love; it does not hate; it does not encourage any of these qualities.
Space cannot be measured. It cannot be angered, it cannot be placated. It cannot be summed up. Space is there.
Space is not large and it is not small. It does not live and it does not die. It does not offer truth and neither does it lie.
Space is a remorseless, senseless, impersonal fact.
Space is the absence of time and of matter

So the 1500 mile drive was w/o a doubt... worth it!!!! And I'm back in Indy in one whole and contented 'peace.' I am thankful to have met the people that I got to meet... PJK and Aria, amongst others.

I'll agree with the general consensus here that security was ridiculous. I saw you HRW-- wish there would have been something I could have done. CCRN-- two step guy narrowly missed two black eyes. And who ever that drunk guy was who was using my shoulder as a chin rest is lucky that TR mollifies me as he does.

Another wonderful evening... I was right there when Tim broke out Che, the song that resounds in my head no matter what I'm doing or listening to. Thank you again and again and again.
Fluffy and Rew... for EVERYTHING, the pleasure was all mine.
Erich-- "they make leather socks??"

"Nothing like a Sunday morning humping" LOL... that's unquestionably improper sounding to all who missed it I'm sure, but it had to be documented.

Here's pics!!
One more coming... when you get around to it, eh Fluffy??

hey guys. great show. me and 3 of my buddies drove down from maine for this one, and it was worth it. a lot of crowd noise (and two step/#41 chants from some drunk guys), but nevertheless a great show. i was standing right next to the guy with the camera to the left of the stage. i was gonna give him my e-mail, but he was gone when i was done talking to some people. i would love this dvd. if you could e-mail me at brian.giggey@umit.maine.edu that wold be great. i understand itll be a while, and i will have to probably sign up, but i would be love to get my hands on this. thanks so much!

they almost didnt let me in because my out of state license was expired. I mean, seriously, does that mean im not the age it says? was I born again and now have a 2econd belly button?

Also, my friends and I were on the guest list, and because the staff were just a little... slow, to say the least... they jst didnt notice our names on there the first two times we asked. Knobs.

I couldnt hear a fucking thing at the show, but the last few songs, after all the douchebags left, were great.

not to mention they felt the need to make sure I wasn't hiding weapons of mass destruction in my underwear. Although now that I've seen how they run the place, I see why they would be suspicious.

Neither are Two Step chants. Can't get away from them at DMB shows, and couldn't get away at a TR show, now, too. Are people really that stupid?
rubylith Posted - 03/06/2006 : 08:03:33 AM
i hate when a bunch of dudes get together, bark like dogs, and punch each other in the chest and go "hoot hoot hoot hoot!"

atleast I hate that at most acoustic events...please...whoever you are out there...please stop with the gender specific mating calls to one another, it is not needed during a tim reynolds show.

I got a soundboard patch. I gave my email to one of the guy's down front video taping. I am missing the first 2-3 minutes of Tim's set, but other than that it is good to go. I'll need some setlist help as well.

When you guys start working on the dvd, just let me know and I'll send the audio out to whoever needs it.

the crowd was fairly shitty, at least at the beginning. 3/4 of the people there just came out to chat and drink. I tore down my mics after Jack's set because it was pretty much useless. By the end though, it had cleared out a lot and everyone down front was actually into the show. Made it much more enjoyable. It's been since about 2000 or 2001 that I've seen Tim solo, definitely enjoyed it.

Hey, ya know, whatever. I did get to see him 3 days in a row, with tapes of all 3. Can't beat that with a stick. Plus, from what people are saying, the Mexicali crowd was the best of the lot, and will make for a spectacular DVD. I forgot to mention in my other post that Tim did Kundalini Bonfire and Loose Interpretations as well (3/3).

I just wanted to give those guys those HST DVDs, Fluffy and Tim seemed really interested in them, oh well, that's what snail mail is for.

Sorry to hear about the crowd and certain people not getting it, that really sucks HRW.

Looks like we've got quite a break until the end of March.

Anyone know what the setlist was?

I have a 5400. How you use it is the important part... and you obviously use your 3100 better than I use my 5400. My pics weren't nearly as good as yours. Good shots!
Kris Posted - 03/05/2006 : 1:20:33 PM
Yeah, it's a Nikon Cool Pix 3100. It's a few years old, but it does the trick. Every time my parents get a new camera, they give me their old one. Now my Dad is looking to replace his Cool Pix 5200 or something like that. It's very similar, but more megapixels and better features.

yea it sucked but what are ya gonna do...I understand them not wanting to have udneragers in...but if there is a questions I don't see why they couldn't have called and verified the lisenscee number (which Jared has memorized) and check it, isn't that what they would have to do anyway if the cops did kick someone out?

I think it was one guy, one a power trip, and from my guess he's be the guy yelling for "Crash" in the middle of a song.

haha maybe next time we will meet! Hope the who went awsome, Im sure Tim ripped it up!

I was at the show last night and had a great TIMe. It's the third TIMe I've seen Tim and he always out does himself. Crowd sucked pretty bad though. They were talking through the entire show, and most left before it was over. Oh well, it just made it easier to get to the front.

Thanks for taping the show Tim. I briefly talked one of you, the one that was at the right side of the stage (looking at the stage). Can't wait to get a download a copy of that. Thanks again for the audio and video, I have some of your stuff, and it's always quality.

wow, you got to understand when you have a f#cked up license it is usually because you arent 21. you would be surprised what people do to get booze under age. i wouldnt have let you guys in either. sorry.

Yeah, they gave my friend a hard time b/c he had a virginia drivers license that was broken in half and taped together. They had to take him aside and compare it to some book of state licenses they had. Really held up the line but they let him through. As for the show, the opener was good, I didn't know him but it seemed like everyone else did. Tim was off the hook. I brought some Tim virgins and they were blown away. We were on the balcony right over Tim's right shoulder, a great spot to seem Tim's handy work. The acoustic version of A Whole Lotta Love was cool. Overall, the performance was great, Tim's new stuff seems like it is really coming along well, I can't wait for the new album. The best part of the night was seeing the look of awe on my friend's faces. Thanks Tim!

Well, I got to drive 2 hours with 2 of my friends just so the club could not let me in because I have a beat-up driver's license. Way to ruin our night, douchebags! I didn't even hang around for Fluffy and crew to show up because they were being relentless shitheads about it, and I didn't wanna bother them with such bollocks. Oh well, hope Tim Brown got a good recording so we can watch the show sometime. Sorry I couldnt get in man, I guess turning 25 this month doesn't mean much anymore.

FUCK YOU, CHAMELEON CLUB!

Ok folks....looks like we have 4-5 cams tonight (and that's just the people that I have been chatting with) Anyone else in?

I am gonna pull audience audio and hopefully my buddy will be able to get SBD audio.

Any suggestions?

I taped audio for a few other bands at this club last weekend and I have a good spot in mind, so it will be worth the hike up from Baltimore. But with multiple cameras and trying to get a SBD patch I'm hoping to get some extra time:-D
