Just got back from the Rockford show and Tim was amazing. A small crowd was moved by Tim and Greg all nightlong. Tim seemed to have a a lot of energy tonight and it showed.

From the beginning of the show a clown in the crowd kept yelling "Stream"!!!! after every song and being a distraction. Tim put a kbosh on that real quick. He pointed the guy out and told him badically to shut the fuck up and leave if he wouldn't stop. If not he was gonna have him escorted out. Tim gave a big middle finger salute to him. Needless to say, the guy shut up and we enjoyed the peace. Eventually Tim belted out Stream with a Led Zeppling tune (Can't think of name) in the middle. What a classy guy, he still gave up stream to the crowd after all that.

Greg was great, and they played a great encore. I am truly moved by tomnights experience. Thanks Tim.

To answer the improv question, Tim writes a setlist out but within any given song on the setlist, there is much improv. It is one of the reasons I enjoy seeing the show nite after nite. You really have to see like 5 or 6 in a row to see how different the same song can sound in Tims hands. After like 1 tour I was so familiar with the songs I could spot the improv parts and the changes that occur in songs, It is always fun for me to try and spot the differences in performances. Tim felt bad about the onstage confrontation with the scumbag audience member and ended up playing Stream more as a bonus and apology to the audience for his outburst, but both Rew and I noticed we had never seen him play Stream with such conviction. He was pounding the hell outta that song that night. It really made the Zep part that much more powerful. I have never seen stream so heavy. It was definitely not the touchy feely version that nite. It was more the club you over the head version. Special Thanx to Kerry and his crew for a great nite in Rockford IL, we had a great time despite the asshole. We will just ban that guy next time. Hope to see you all again in Rockford soon.

Yeah, that was kashmir. Man, that concert was my first of Tims, and it was great. I never heard anything besides "Live at Luther college". I went to hear some good music, and i had a great time. I bought "sticks and stones" and Im enjoying that cd alot. I didnt think i would hear stream, cause i heard he didnt play it much anymore. that was a nice surprise.

I talked with one of the guys taping the show and I emailed him, so when he gets back to me ill try and set up a trading tree, if anyones interested. (thats the way they do it with dmb, just assuming you do it the same here.)

please tell me someone has a good taping of last nights show.....
never seen tim solo but will again soon. the man is just a musical genius. i was just amazed and in awe the whole show. oh yeah about the loud fat guy that kept yelling "play stream" i was kinda hoping tim wouldnt even give the drunken loud-mouth bastard the satisfaction of hearing it. instead he played the shit out of it and played alomst all of kashmir in the middle. almost caused me to nut in pants. if anyone wants to trade so old shows i got a lot of high quality dave matthews concerts and a couple early 90's tr3 shows please email me... i gots to hear more

I'm pretty sure the Led Zepplin song he sticks in the middle of Stream sometimes is Kashmir.

Hey Everyone
Kerry Adams here. The promoter of the rockford show.
I just want to express my gratitude to everyone who came out to support great live music in Rockford.
I too was dissapointed in the few assholes who like to try and ruin the show for everyone else. Nevertheless Greg and Tim put on an AMAZING performance and I am looking forward to the day we bring them both back.
Once again thanks everyone for showing up on a tuesday nite in Rockford to see Tim and Greg.
peace......Kerry

Fluffy, thanks for the clarification of the "Free Bird" didn't get that. I hope the crowd did not deter Tim from wanting to come back to Rockford. Fluffy question for you??? Last night was my first Tim experience, it seemed like Tim amazingly improvd a lot of the show. Am I right???

I must say that I brought a close friend to the show last night who is an extremely talented guitar player, but he has left the guitar lay for awhile. He left the show with new found inspiration to play and have fun again. Tim is responsible for that. Thanks Tim.

Hey Everyone, Rockford was a tough crowd, but a great show. The encore was a definite high point of the tour so far. This was only the second show that Tim and Greg have collaborated on since Greg joined us. I can only expect they will get even better. Greg is an amazing stick player that is the perfect opening act for us on this tour. As far as that "big middle finger salute", I think alot of people might have missed the joke. The loud mouthed scumbag was screaming FreeBIRD, at which TIMe Tim obliged with a free BIRD directed right at him. All in all it was a great performance. It was great meeting you as well Justin and Jason. Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago tomorrow as well.

Peace & Keep the Faith

I was at the Rockford show tonight and man, Greg Howard was an AMAZING choice for an opener and Tim was amazing. I saw him last year in Chicago and he was incredible there but last night was even better. He played all kinds of shit and all of it was badass. The crowd was a MAJOR disappointment and Tim seemed to have problem with the sound guy all night but Timmy still manaaged an amazing show. I was so happy he cursed the people out who were being loud. I dont understand people some time. Why do people need to ruin other peoples' good time and effort to provide good music. Major props to Fluffy and the guys for still allowing me and my friends take pics with Timmy last night despite the rough evening. I am pumped to see what Timmy is going to be pullingout for tomorrows show. Rock on everybody and peace

Justin
