Posted - 02/06/2009 : 2:55:08 PM To say that I'm excited is a bit of an understatement. I first became a fan of Tim Reynolds sometime in 98 or 99 while listening to some DMB bootlegs from 98 with Tim playing electric. This is also when Tim was touring with the Puke Matrix lineup of TR3. My first two Tim cds were Puke Matrix and Astral Projection. At the time however, I lived out in the desert, didn't have my own car, and couldn't make it out to LA to catch a show. My first show was in 2000 when Tim started touring solo acoustic. So despite being a fan for over 10 years now, and having attended countless shows, this will be my first time seeing Tim with TR3, the version of Tim that really made me a fan. |

Posted - 02/06/2009 : 8:29:53 PM Awesome Kevin! You are going to LOVE them! Seriously, first time I heard TR3 with TR, Dan and Mick was on Easter. I caught them on webcast a few times before that. The vibe in the theatre in Sellersville left no doubt in my mind that they were meant to play together. The band is tight, just amazing sound! Literally gave me chills to hear them. Their sound is unique with touch of jazz. One song really makes me think of Jaco Pastorius.(Leelines)
You know how much I love hearing TR solo, still do, but hearing him with Dan and Mick is mind blowing! Their music energizes me & refreshens my soul. Not sure if that makes sense, it's hard to describe. Their music is mature, soulful, beautiful!
That is why I am excited to hear Radiance and as soon as it becomes available on line, I am getting myself a copy!
Almost forgot, Kevin, could you P-L-E-A-S-E write a review? |

Posted - 02/06/2009 : 3:18:03 PM My first TR experience was TR3 at the Wetlands in September 99. I'm not sure if Astral Projection was released already or not, but they played a bunch of those songs. Twas awesome. I couldn't go this last time, so I feel your pain.
Have a good show! |
