In a recent interview Tim said My Morning Jacket was one of the contemporary rock bands he likes.

Fluffy, any idea of which albums/songs he's been listening to? Is it just a coincidence that he started playing the Flying V a la Jim James? As a fan of both, I'm curious.

Hell yea! Evil Urges is a great record. I would def recommend TR--and anyone else--listen to "Z" if he likes this one.

Here's a radio broadcast--just Jim James and guitarist Carl Broemel. Jim plays the omnichord on a couple tracks.

Fluffy, I know this comes up all the time, but can you keep us updated as to what you guys are listening to on the road? Always interesting stuff.

Evil Urges in the one he has been playin the hell out of. I love the song "Highly Suspicious" the best. I love the whole album as well. They definitely had NOTHING to do with TR's affinity for the "V". He has loved that guitar since his youth.
