Fans attending DMB shows this summer will be the first to hear the latest material from Dave Matthews Band as the band debuts songs from their forthcoming record. DMB is currently in the studio with Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Alanis Morrisette) working on the yet-to-be-titled album! Guitarist and long time friend Tim Reynolds is playing on the album, marking his first recording with DMB since 1998's Before These Crowded Streets.
with TR3 Tue / Aug 5 / Riverbend Music Center / Cincinnati, OH Thu / Aug 7 / Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater / Virginia Beach, VA

I would wonder what is wrong with Tim if he didn't play with the band those two nights. Also, there is a chance that he might play more than just those two.
All in all, though the new producer doesn't have the credentials or experience with the band's sound like Harris and Lillywhite (not saying he is a bad producer, just not an experienced expert in their sound), Tim being there might just give it the kick it needs.
Also, it would be sweet to have Tim actually sing on this one. |

You know I've always been a fan of "Good, Good Time," and Tim has played that song with Dave and Friends. Honestly that is my favorite DMB song.
Oh and I wish I could see TR3 open for DMB, that would be like the best show. I mean it's pretty likely Tim will play with the Band. Am I right? |

Posted - 03/07/2008 : 3:52:02 PM So I guess I wasn't the only one who voted for TR3 as a possible opening act for DMB when they asked for our opinion a while back. I'm totally stoked, and w/ Tim on the record, its gotta be good. |

Posted - 03/06/2008 : 7:17:08 PM When you add Tim to DMB, everything just gets better!
I was hoping Lanois was going to produce it, but this has to be better than Mark Baston. I am not trashing the guy, or insulting him, just the mix with him and dmb wasn't right. Some of the stuff was decent, but some just felt even more unfinished than the LWS.
With material like Cornbread, #28, Idea of You, A Dream So Real, Shotgun, and possibility of Sugar Will, Crazy Easy, and even SWEET UP AND DOWN, this could be good.
Wouldn't it be kewl if not only Tim showed up, but the rest of the new TR3 as well? |

Posted - 03/06/2008 : 4:47:11 PM Maybe this will end the 10 year DMB slump of making lackluster studio albums. I hope TR3 makes it out west. Fingers crossed for both of us Kev. |
