Posted - 12/06/2001 : 10:08:12 PM I'm about downloading the whole Id album with a 56k modem.. whoooo! it has taken forever, but I was just wondering what the MD5 signatures are, are they something you need when you burn the cd?

Posted - 12/10/2001 : 8:27:09 PM Jon tells me it is a digital signature and you only need it if you are doing SHN. If you are getting MP3s don't worry about it.

Posted - 12/07/2001 : 01:41:59 AM Check out this site for a quick explanation of MD5 files. Basically MD5 files verify the quality of the SHN file you downloaded and makes sure it is error free.
