So, a while back I had a MP3 of TR playing Tree of Life with parts of "Is Anybody Here" mixed in. Does anyone have a copy of it that they can post or get to me? It's one of my favorite TR songs and it got stolen along with my laptop last spring.

I've made it a habbit of tabbing out and writing down lyrics to all my songs. With as many as I've written, I definately need to write them down. I always have a tab file ready to work on when the song is finished, or almost finished.

Ha ha ha. I'll send him the MP3 and the tab on the site!

I often forget songs that I play once or twice, and I don't record them or write them down. So I can understand where TR's coming from.

He probably could revisit it if you send a recording. Sadly, my guess is he doesn't remember the other part. LOL

Hey Kevin, rereading the first post on this thread may help you with your desire, at least to understand what I am about to say to some degree. I mentioned this post to TR and he thought for a second and said, "Oh yeah, I remember that, I think it turned into Is Anybody Here. I think.....I'm not sure...but I think yes, it became Is Anybody Here." Sooooo, I don't think TR could revisit it the way you remember it as it has already apparently morphed into something else. Seems like it might have been finding it's destiny at the TIMe of the recording talked about in the first post by Arthen. It was funny he seemed like he would have never remembered that transformation if I hadn't mentioned this post and that song title. LOL Weird how that works. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Fluffy. It's too bad he couldn't revisit it, because it is two separate parts: Part one is a beautiful melody and part two is the part that grew into "Is Anybody Here." They are distinctly different which makes the song feel more like a medley than a cohesive song.

So now that I've finally joined the iPod generation, I have a lot of TR on my iPod. As such, some rarer stuff that I don't usually listen to comes up a lot more often now that I use my iPod a lot. Tree of Life is one in particular that I've really re-discovered. It is just a beautiful tune, and one that I wish Tim would re-visit.

I love how TR describes this piece: "That was a gospel-folk-jazz song."

JTR You just made my night, thank you sir! This is conjuring up old, old memories I have associated with this song. Definitely bringing a smile to my face tonight.

Depending on file size you could email it to me: cbenc41@hotmail.com. I'll be on AIM tonight around 9:00pm Pacific time: Screen name: Arthenc.

And thanks, I really appreciate it.

I've got a copy of that track on my PC. What would be a good way to get it to you?
