Posted - 01/22/2006 : 7:27:42 PM Does TR's most kickass versions of his songs are on the D&T tours' concert solos? I don't want to sound like some ignorant Dave-head, you guys know me on the board. I personally feel that it's a combination of that good-quality recording sound on such a kickass large big-sound venue, and the fact that Tim just wants to blow those little kiddies' minds out, and rocks out with his cock out.
My favorite examples: Impermanence(03-03-22) Loose Interpretations(99-03-25) Radar Contact theme in Big BLast of Hot Air (you know that one) To Youch Yearning(94-04-01)
and...fuck i have a bunch w/o dates b/c i named these things poorly.
Anyone else know what I'm talking about?? |

Posted - 01/25/2006 : 4:37:51 PM I think it is a matter of relative awesomeness. In a D&T show, obviously the TR stuff is going to stick out like an unbelievably kick-ass sore (?) thumb. In a TR solo show, everything is awesome, so nothing can stand out quite as much.
just a thought. |

Posted - 01/25/2006 : 1:32:38 PM There are a number I concur with...I have a Chaterbox from the '99 tour that is unreal, and as I have mentioned countless times, the Open Up, Let It In => Jemez Rolling Waves I witnessed on 3/26/03, and now have on CD thank God, blew my brains out.
He is playing to a shitload more people than he would in one of his regular venues, I am sure that has something to do with it. |

Is it the one with the crazy animal sound jam in the middle, and at the end he goes into the classical piece at the end? Where it has the "watery" sound effect? |
