I just wanted to say hey to all the gang here at the Tim site and fluffy and to the DMB from THE REAL MR. Andrew "6" "Marshall" Duncan Craig and as well i wanted to post an interesting website about our president that i found about President Bush just check it out if youd like: http://www.japantoday.com/e/?content=news&cat=8&id=328521 . It was nice to see Boyd my old friend on A&E television teachin kids about saving the music and his performance with Alanis Morisette and in fact it was her that i first noticed was starting to write material about me and my life because i knew she had worked with Tim way back when on "Don't Drink the Water". After that a whole slew of artists started writing songs about me and my music people ranging from U2 to Shania Twain to Linkin Park plus many others and i tripped on how i eventually as identified if not more identified with Marshall amps as JIM MARSHALL HIMSELF because of my yahoo id in the guitar rooms. Well, my mom still delivers newspapers to Boyd's dad George Tinsley and Boyds Uncle too here in Charlottesville and i was especially pleased to see the Marshall cabinets on the Kerry benefit video that Dave Matthews did with Michael Stipe and the Dixie Chicks and Springsteen. I knew Dave had put those there in honor of me, i kinda shed a tear over that. Well IF I was there Id give a hug to Tim and Fluffy cause i Know how much Tim had an effect on my career and Id like to sincerely thank him for takin the time he did when i was a nobody, not that i am all that much now though i have been in the business almost 21 years and the amount and content of what he taught me was invaluable. CHEERS, TIM AND FLUFFY!!!!!

you're right, this isn't english class. that's not the point. i don't use capitals, and no one complains. however, you can still understand what i'm writing. if you have something you need to say, chances are you should make sentences that aren't utterly fucking baffling. it's not about proper english, it's about being coherent. liking sentences that don't make my nose bleed when i think about does not make me anything you said. you're more than welcome make those absurd connections, though.

good morning the beefs are tender how much does that weigh ham! see what i mean? but oh wait, no one can bitch about that because saying anything about sentences that make no fucking sense makes you a punk. staggering.

in theory anythings possible. But this is a message board, and in order to properly convey your message, you need to have as good a grasp of the language as possible.

I dont hold it against him in the slightest, but I also dont fault the folks that responded to him in the way they did. Online, the written language is all we have, and if you cant get your message across, then we're left with nothing.

That, and I feel that coming into this board you need a certain sense of humour, one that includes being able to have the piss taken from you without firing back like an epileptic board hound. Ive leared that in life, if you can take it, it means much more when you dish it

Andrew Craig - I say this all with best intentions

right. So, in order to clarify the first post... your second one is in a font that makes Stevie Wonder wince and go "shit nigga, thats some ugly font".

but welcome back! as much as its great to have people here that can share experiences like yours, im going to make a humble suggestion: when people get confused by your posts, and express it, and you turn around and call them a punk, it doesnt bode well. but disposition aside, cheers

lol
this is the funniest thread ever...because i read it when he first posted and I thought maybe I was fucked up.
hah
anyway I doubt his lessons or whatever lasted past one day...anyway thats cool if he was a student of Tim's...but I doubt he will be taken seriously in music if he consantely uses that as his claim to fame. Most people don't enjoy that...

I think Dave put Marshall cabinets on stage in honor of him.

I wasn't attempting to make a judgement based on punctuation, I honestly have no idea what you mean by your post. What did Dave put in honor of you?
Andrew Craig Posted - 03/02/2005 : 03:19:04 AM
i really genuinely feel that at least the people who replied to my post are really a bunch of Tim obsessed SNOBS with a super CAPITAL S. As well If you are so worried about punctuation, such as run on sentences, realize this is a message board and not ENGLISH CLASS. I GUESS THAT ALSO MAKES YOU A PUNK! As you could plainly see at the end of the first initial posting the message was meant for TIM and FLUFFY, NOT FOR THEIR SNOBBY CRONIES HAHAHAHAHA BITE ME! YOU JEALOUS FREAKS!

The original post was confusing, and the correction made it even more so. Nice guitar and amp collection on the web page though.
dan p. Posted - 02/26/2005 : 10:51:26 AM
i meant where sentences should be.

do you remember the episode of the simpsons where homer is trying to make a bbq pit, but then he knocks all the parts over into the wet cement and he has to just slam parts together before it dries? this post distinctly reminds me of that. "le grille? what the hell is that?" his correction feels like falling down a flight of stairs.

I wanna know how he got the nickname 6.
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 02/25/2005 : 8:28:06 PM
That post is only like 4 run on sentences.
dan p. Posted - 02/25/2005 : 8:22:52 PM
i'm not going to lie to you, craig. i got through about 6 sentences of that first post.

My connection with Tim Reynolds who was a member of the Dave Matthews Band

For about six months while living in my hometown of Charlottesville, VA where the Dave Matthews Band is from as well I found myself having the chance to take guitar lessons from Tim Reynolds who was later called a master guitarist by Rolling Stone and VH-1. This was long before DMB existed that I took lessons from him but he taught me the most important thing I could have learned about music was to basically play what I feel, my own music, and he trained my ear. He would stand across the room and hit chords and expect me to recognize them just by ear. Now thats valuable musical training. I WOULD SAY!

Did I miss that? They actually gave Tim recognition?

yea what the hell...

After having read all of that, only one thing came to mind.

DON'T DO DRUGS.
Arthen Posted - 02/24/2005 : 6:46:54 PM
Are you okay?
Andrew Craig Posted - 02/24/2005 : 6:22:49 PM
sorry gotta correct a few things on my post first of all the sentence about marshall amps is supposed to read like this: I was eventually very surprised to learn that i am as identified if not more identified with Marshall amps as JIM MARSHALL HIMSELF because of my owning an autographed mint 1968 marshall 4x12 cabinet among many other pieces of Marshall equipment and being on their website and having various screen names over the 5 years I been on Yahoo! with the Marshall name in it while being in the guitar rooms alot. Their logo is also tatooed to my left upper arm. My getting labeled with the number six is such a long story even i'm not totally sure why i got labeled with it but it stuck.

I also need to fix my signature and websites.
