Here's my best attempt at a review for the River Street Jazz Cafe performance last night. The digi camera was not charged to my dismay, so you must use your imagination for now. What can I say that hasn't already been said about Tim live. We got a spot at the bar about 10 feet from him. I took a trip to the bathroom after my Jager and Hoegaarden lease expired and sure enough Tim was standing in this dark corner with a backpack on. I said nothing to him on the way in but on the way out I stopped and shook his hand, telling him how much of a fan I am of his music. He didn't say much but thanks and shortly after was whisked away to the "green room." I am regretful to say that I couldn't recognize a lot of the songs, don't know if they were new or I'm just an idiot, but the few I did recognize made it even better (indoctrinate, hopeful heresy, chatterbox). He did not use phrase sampling hardly at all, but wowed the audience with his raw acoustic ability. The crowd was really cool and it seemed like everybody was enjoying the show and into the music. I remember at one point Tim said his name was 0000001, and I yelled "yeah 0000001!" and he pointed and said "yeah, like that." I noticed one taper at the show, hopefully he releases the recording for us fans. Overall a great show with some rarities that hopefully I will get to listen to over and over in the future (hint: taper). Until next time, Tim...

Anyone know if this show is going to be coming out? There was a taper there and he did say he was going to release it.

One question, he covered a Zeppelin tune during his set, can someone help me with the name, its been bugging me.
Actually, that nite it was "Ten Years Gone" from Physical Graffiti. Kashmir is usually worked into Stream.

Most likely Kashmir.

I too was there and let me tell you Tim totally put on a fantastic show. I was two tables away and had a perfect view off him. I snapped a few pics during the show. I got there kinda early and Tim was walking around drinking tea! I couldnt believe it. He was just chillin' at the bar for awhile then when it got crowded he went into the dressing room. After the show I meet him and he signed my copy of "Nomadic Wavelengh" and I got a picture with him. I asked some drunk girl to take the picture for me so I hope she did it right. I shook his hand and said thanks. He bowed and said no thank you. I also talked to whom I believe was Fluffy. I asked him about the new disc and he said there looking at a late October release and it will be out on Tim's label. There was a taper there and the show will be on the etree archive. Thanks for the great show!
