Posted - 07/11/2004 : 2:19:22 PM So me and my fiance are planning our wedding. And in doing so, we're thinking of musical talent to book. We have a local band in mind that are friends of my fiance, so we'll be booking them and it will cost around $1200 to do so.
We saw on TV the other day that Kylie Minogue is playing a wedding for something like $520,000.00. Of course that got us talking about if we had an endless supply of money, who we would want to play our wedding/reception. Of course, Tim's name escaped my lips.
So my question is, and pretty much only Fluffy could answer this for certain, how much do you think Tim would charge to play an event like a wedding/reception, for a fan?
I would hope less than $520,000.00, since Tim is a "real" artist and musician, and just a bit more down to earth than someone like Kylie Minogue.
Any thoughts, guesses, ballparks, are greatly appreciated.

Posted - 07/14/2004 : 01:09:01 AM I know CW is 40 something, but he'll still be alive when I die (if everything works out...)...I want him to play "Dirt Floor" at my funeral. Or Home is Where you Get Across...Do you know anything about that song, Fluffy? |

Posted - 07/13/2004 : 1:44:44 PM Interesting question. It has never really been discussed. Although I have always thought that IF I ever got married I always fantasized about having TR and/or CW play at my wedding but I never discussed it with either of them so I have no idea if something like that would even be realistic. I do know that CW has done some private shows and parties and it was just a matter of working out a price and covering his expenses(flight, hotel accomodations, food etc etc)but I don't know if TR would even be up for something like that. He might. The only way to find out is to ask. I would suggest going thru Tom Baggott at TheBookingAgency.com This is TR's current booking agency. He is no longer with Skyline. I am sure if TR was available and willing to do it, it would be alot cheaper than $520,000. LOL |

Posted - 07/12/2004 : 12:14:25 AM Adam, that is so exciting, planning your wedding. I think it would be so cool if Tim performed for you. I don't know if he does weddings, kind of seems out of character for him, but then again, for one of his "family" on the board, he just might do that.
Erich, if you got married, I could definitely see him doing that for you! Of course I would expect to be invited to that wedding! |

Posted - 07/11/2004 : 6:40:59 PM how much would Tim charge for a normal show? I would expect that much.
What does it matter who the crowd is.
520,000!!! thats ridiculous.
I've always felt that if I became famous for my music I'd still wanna just play on the street or in the subway for fun. |
