Posted - 06/28/2004 : 1:43:44 PM I've meant to ask this question the last three TIMes I met him, but I always forget. Anyone know if there's anyone that completely impresses Tim? I don't mean like "wow, that's a nice lick" or who he enjoys listening to, or even influences for that matter. I'm saying guys (or girls) that impress him based on physical talent alone. I can't help but wonder to myself if Tim has ever thought "Hmm...I wonder if I could play that". Somehow I doubt it, but you never know. Rather boring question I suppose, but hey...I'm at work, it's the best I can come up with ;-). |

I've heard from Fluffy that the Al DiMeoli, McLaughlin, DeLucia cd "Friday Night in San Fransisco" is a favorite of theirs to listen to on the road, and I know that Fluffy has mentioned that John Mclaughlin is Tim's biggest Jazz Influence.
For the record, Friday Night in San Fransisco is one of my favorite Jazz albums of all time as well. Check it out! |

Posted - 06/28/2004 : 2:19:05 PM Straight off the bio on timreynolds.com:
quote:
Tim's influences, which include Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Manson, Bob Marley, Nine Inch Nails, and Led Zeppelin, among others, are indirectly felt in the fabric of Tim's power trio and solo projects.
Other than that, I would also like to hear what he likes. I wonder if he likes Al Dimeola.
