Posted - 05/23/2004 : 11:20:19 PM I have bought a couple of tickets for the Buffalo concert and I can't wait for it. I was wondering if anyone can go out on a limb and think what sort of music of his he might play. Personally, I don't mind what he plays but I don't knwo who I'll be bringing and i might choose someone different depending on wether he goes more electric or acoustic.
Thanks |

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 5:26:50 PM If you stick around long enough TR might come out for some autographs, pics, whatever. If he sees his shadow though, he will go back into the dressing room and not come out for a while. (lol)

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 12:38:29 AM hey folks... i have tickets for the buffalo show... i checked out the venue (the tralf), very small, very cool. anyone know if its a bar or strictly a theatre? also, i was wondering, b/c its such a small venue, what are the chances of maybe grabing a minute of TIM's TIMe for a quick pic and a handshake? is this something that happens after, or not at all? its my first TIM show, and i want to know the in's and out's. oh yeah, would it be too cheesey to see if i could get my guitar in to get it signed??? i'm a huge canadian fan who has enjoyed TIM from afar for much too long. some feedback would be great thanks jamie |

Posted - 05/27/2004 : 03:43:52 AM Sorry to infer that your name might be ted, but it seems that great minds think alike only mine needed a little nudge from you, thanx for the inspiration. While I may not have been so original in coming up with geetarded on my own, I do get points for spelling. RETARD...r-e-t-a-r-D as in retarded OR geetarded. Hence my confusion at your name being (guitar)Ted. Anyway, thanx for the groovy inspiration, a new word has entered my vocabulary and it seems a new spelling has entered yours. geetarded will sit right up there with my other fave influx!! By the way, feel free to use either at your leisure. It is my goal to make these words accepted forms of speech in my lifetime. A lofty goal some might say, but I have faith and determination, and with a little help from my friends, I may enter the dictionarys in my lifetime.
As for Mishawaka, TR played there with The Samples about a year(maybe a little more)ago. It was beautiful, right on the river, well worth the drive. We talked about TR doing a headlining gig there in the future. Hope it happens! Parking wasn't so easy, but with that old phrase, "I'm with the band!" it wasn't too hard for us. It really is a beautiful setting for a concert. During the quieter moments of TR's acoustic set you could hear the river in the background and it gave the set quite an ambiance you can't get in any other venue. Sun setting, river rushing, rain drizzling, it was really nice and unique. Truly beautiful! |

Posted - 05/26/2004 : 10:05:31 PM this has become the worlds most ridiculous conversation.
Guitarted is NOT GUITAR TED
its guitarted like retarted
and I'm am very guitarted
Not necessarily becaus ei've been big on guitars for long
its more like how a knock on the head suddenly makes you retarted
I got into playing guitar when i was 16 (im 18 almsot 19 now) and it has become my obsession ever since.
that is why I am guitarted

Posted - 05/26/2004 : 12:14:31 PM The upcoming Buffalo show is ACOUSTIC. As for the set list, it is always up to the "whim of TIM" on any given day, but you can prolly expect something similar to the setlist he performed at Colgate Univ a month ago. Here is that set list:
SuperString Theory Space Log Flourescence Come Together/Ohio New D Indoctrinate New E Song Stranger Nat Mystic Dreaming Water in Drop C Loose Entrepid All You Need(Is Love) Kudalini (+ encores which escape me at the moment, 1 was a Marley song)
Hope this helps, should give you a ballpark.
Welcome aBOARD!!!
Of course, in no way do I want to offend anyone, but I have to ask, is your name "ted"? Hence, guitar ted. Your screenname did evoke the wild machinations of my brain and spawned a word I had been searching for for many years now. A SHORT name or word to describe all the guitar freaks and weirdos out there who spend oh so much TIMe tabbing, discussing guitar effects, comparing solos etc etc etc. There has never been a quick work for these until I read your screenname and VOILA!! It came to me, out of the blackness......guitarded!!!!! Keep in mind it does not conotate an insult although I guess it could be used as such, but it is the word I shall always use to describe all my friends who spend way to much TIMe on things "guitar" from this day forward they shall all be referred to as "GUITARDED"!! Not guitar nerds, or guitar geeks or even guitar freaks, but "GUITARDED"! Thank you for sparking my "moment of clarity"! and once again, welcome aBOARD guitarted!!
PS: So ya know, by virtue of the fact that we are all members of this message board we are all "guitarded" to some degree. Maybe the proper gauge for your level of guitardedness might be the number of TIMes you have visited the guitar set-ups page or posted on the tablature page. I haven't worked it all it, it's all still very new.
When a tornado strikes your town, is the first thought in your head, "How's my guitar?" You might be "guitarded"!
Have you ever listed to someone considered a guitar legend and thought, "I could play that BETTER!" You might be "guitarded"!
Have you ever thought I have enuf money for food OR guitar strings and bought the strings? You might be "guitarded"!
Do you speak in a language that seems alien to someone who doesn't play guitar? You might be "guitarded"!
Do you get unnaturally excited when someone talks about a vintage guitar they just purchased? You might be "guitarded"!
Have you contemplated ways of killing them to acquire said vintage guitar? You might be "guitarded"!
Have you ever asked another guitar player a TECHNICAL question about his style, set-up, or worse yet, what strings he uses? You might be "guitarded"!
I am sure there are many more..........ENJOY!!!
Upon further reflection, maybe "GEETARDED" is better. It sounds more like the word I am trying to immulate pronounced this way. What do you think, GUITARDED or GEETARDED? I am such a geetard(or guitard)!!!!! hehe |
