04-17-01 show at the Blind Pig Bar in Ann Arbor MI
after about a half hour of tim putting up w/
drunken college students yelling "PLAY STREAM! Play Stream!! TIMAAY!!
tim w/ his shades on finally screams back
" I'LL FUCKING PLAY WHAT I WANT TO FUCKING PLAY!!!!
and then Tim played this insanely loud, crazy LOOP
that went on for about 5 minutes and sounded like R2D2 having a
heart attack.
A couple of my friends didnt care for that but
I thought it was sweet. |

i was wondering if you would want to do a trade or can i get that 4-17-01 show from you too. The only tim reynolds solo show i have is september 13, 2003 from martyrs chicago IL. That was my first tim show and i would like to hear that one. If not i got 18 dave and tim shows from 1993 - 2003 just email me if you want to trade or something

i grew up in Roseville but I now
live right next door in Warren.
I was only there for the first show so that
quote happened in the first show.
That show at the Magic bag was the best show
i have ever been too. I think most people that went to that
were expecting more aquostic guitar because alot of
people left half way thru. Which is fine by me cause we got to
move to a better table.
I've enterained the idea of going on road
trips to see Tim (cause he doesnt come around too often) but cant afford to take time off from work + he doesnt really play on weekends which would be the best time for me to go
but i'd love to hear that Blind Pig Show that was my first ever
Tim Reynolds concert.

Where in michigan are you from? I was also at the magic bag show last year too..... great show also... I went to 3 or 4 shows that tour.... still so memorable |

no i didnt bring a camera.
it was just a bad atmosphere
the blind pig is a really small bar
+ it was a friday so all the students were winding
down and being obnoxious + thats what U of Michigan students
do best. It was even hard to listen to Tim playing acoustic guitar
over the kids gossiping next to me about who slept w/ who.
but I saw CHaos view tour at the MAGIG BAG in detroit.
which is the perfect venue.not to big not to small
i didnt bring a camera for that one either.
Next time he comes to michigan which is not often
i'm definatly going to tape it. |
