Posted - 07/08/2003 : 7:20:59 PM I helped out the people of the greater boston area today!!!
I listen to WBOS, 92.9, all day while painting houses and other wonderfully wonderful jobs. I decided to call up the dude on the other end of the sattelite and let him know the deal with the Tim show at HOB. He listened, knew who Tim was, and was shocked that its selling poorly. So, he let the folks of the greater Boston area know whats up!! The only thing is, he had to lead into talking about Tim in the only way a non-independent radio station knows how. He played a Dave song (Typical Situation) and then told everyone about Tim. Its a great station that plays all the good stuff from past and today and all that stuff, and they stick in instrumental stuff every now and again, bu he had no Tim CDs. That may also be something I need to change. So, I got the word out anyway. And I dont think it would be a problem if a few Dave fans showed up...the place holds no more that 180 people, and in such an obviously intimate setiing, i doubt any asshole will act out. If they do, thats why I'm bringing my 4 foot machete. No, i dont have one of those....but....Come on, would that be the coolest thing to have??
Oh, right...I know the show is selling poorly (at least the advanced selling tickets[the sell them at the door too]) is because on Ticketmaster.com, they are letting you buy as many as 50 tickets. I tried to see if they had 50 available...and they do. So, thats how I know.
Alright people...if I can do this, you can!! Hell, I'm only 18!!
Follow my lead, my brethren. See you at the show!! -Sean |

Posted - 07/11/2003 : 01:45:43 AM Hey Sean, Thanx for the support!!! I actually advanced the show with the HOB in Cambridge the other day and the early show is actually selling quite well, it is the late show I am worried about. It has a pretty good presale, but only about 1/3 of the early show. I am going to look into talking to TR about possibly doing 2 completely different shows for the early and late show so we can encourage people who come to the first to buy tix and stay for the 2nd. Well see what happens, who knows, but thanx again for the support. Indeed, TR Task Force in FULL effect. |

Posted - 07/09/2003 : 1:53:35 PM TR TASK FORCE IN EFFECT!!!!! Great work Sean, that's what the task force is all about. I wonder what is up with the house of blues venues... last year I caught TR for 3 consecutive shows in So Cal... two were sold out to the rafters, but the Hollywood HOB turnout wasn't so great at all. Interesting. |
