Posted - 06/05/2003 : 4:42:26 PM Hi Tim: I am not sure if you actually see these messages, but incase you do... I wanted to let you know that you have inspired me so much over the last couple of years. You inspired me to take up the guitar six months ago and to play hours a day. Hearing you play was like taking a black and white sketch and adding color. You rock beyond anyone else I have ever heard, well maybe garcia still is #1 in my book. Either way, know your playing has done only what you could imagine, provoke someone to do something they dreamed unrealistic. Thank you! Tom PS if anyone knows any good sources for tim music beyond the ftp please let me know, thanks. |

Without getting to deeply into the nerdy-ness that is to be expected...The Valar is the group of Gods that rules over Tolkien's Middle-Earth. Manwe is one of them. You can read more about them in "The Silmarillion" which I suggest everyone read.
The Ecyclopedia of Arda is also a good source for all things Middle Earth. There's very little about Tolkien that you can't find here:

No problem on the downloads. I'm glad you can get them.

We have an agreement with TIM. He keeps his nose out of our business, and we keep our nose out of his. |

Posted - 06/09/2003 : 10:32:03 AM enthuTIMsiast: Thanks for letting me know about the shows. Damm I can't get enough of this stuff. Especially from 1992-10-31d1t04. It is a Jam track, that is putting it mildly. Dan P: What the heck is Manwe? Everyone Else: I did notice in one of the shows(1997) Tim Eluded to being on drugs. Is he partial to fungus and such things. It would seem he has been exposed to multiple demensions just given his playing and all. Just wondering ... |

Posted - 06/07/2003 : 3:00:58 PM He'd totally be Manwe! And it's kind of nerdy that I know that, but it's one of my favorite books!
And there are a bunch of us that play the guitar among other instruments. Check out the Guitar/Tab section if you need info on guitar or other stuff. |

Posted - 06/07/2003 : 11:12:25 AM Not sure what you mean by "joining" the files. Are you saying that there's a pause after every track? If so, what you need to do is burn DAO. Doing that is different depending upon what software you use, but it shouldn't be hard.
Also, regarding our emails, if you've downloaded stuff from etree, then you have basically everything I can send you anyway, so there'll be no need for a B&P, right?
Any other questions just ask, we can probably work them out. |

Posted - 06/07/2003 : 11:08:12 AM I had one other quick question if you don't mind...Is there a way to join the files after converting to wav? Thanks |

Posted - 06/06/2003 : 4:37:00 PM Don't count on getting any shows from the FTP. Look in my signature, just below these very words, and you'll see the best place to get/download shows. They have most shows of TRs that are in circulation. If you have download capacity, then that's your best bet, period.
Check your mail, too. |

Posted - 06/06/2003 : 3:58:56 PM Thanks, I am gonna write some emails to see if i can get some shows. Did not mean to contradict myself but hard to take your childhood star out of rank. Tim most certainly is up there with the Gods. Anyone know when the FTP will be back up? |
