I think the longest dialog Ive heard from Tim was "this songs called stranger in a strained land" and other than that its "ostrich intestines!" -(not kidding) do you guys know of any specific shows or recording where he talks a bit more?
Thanks

It was funny, but in a really messed up way....B/c there was like a 2 second pause between the words..." Ostrich....Intestine" and he seems to spook the crowd.

I still think "ostrich intestines" is my favorite if only because of the delivery and the presence Tim carries with Dave and Tim.

A few from the 88' TR3 show:

"We'll be dancing all over this place....not that we're trying to be like Dirty Dancing or anything, we're just trying to be SEXUAL....this is a sexual song called 'Do You Wanna Feel Me'....anybody can sing it, it's not about me, it's about everybody."

This one's hilarious - towards the end of "Trippin On You" TIM belches into the microphone and when the song ends he says "Excuse me, I had too much Pepsi." and then goes on to the next one saying:
"We got one more song for ya in 3....6/8 time, gospel music in 6/8. Try to conceptualize that, and you'll dance your ass off, cause it's a FUNKY thing."

during the next song (Learning) - "Gospel Music brought to you bye Jimmy Swaggart....thank you for having sex in public!"

A few from the 96' TR3 show:

(After "Learning") "That song was called Learning How To Masturbate, oh no i'm sorry. Everything boils down to sex though really, if you think about it....that is if you're a sexual creature."

(before "Bleed Green") "This songs about a weird dream, cause that's what a lotta songs are about, you know. Like one of those dreams where ya think you have your pants on, and you're like in the middle of school and you're doin' all this normal shit and you look down...you don't got any fuckin' pants on."

Tim: Coffee is my drug...there's two if you'd like some.

Crowd Guy: What are you tired from?

Tim: Say what?

Crowd Guy: What are you tired from?

Tim: What am I what from?

Crowd Guy: What are you tired from?

Tim: What am I high from?

Crowd Guy: Why are you so tired?!

Tim: Oh, I'm not tired man, I just like to keep going up...The only thing I'm tired of is fucking politics

(applause)

Tim: It's all about the money, it's all about the money.

Another Crowd Guy: Manufacturing consent

Tim: I'm sorry, I have pleaktenitus (sp?), so I can't understand a word you say...it's all like muffled

Off the top of my head so pardon the small errors.

"This song is about a pet tree. Then it goes into the questionable cultural mileu, that we find ourselves in. And it goes back and forth between those two varying things."

after the song...
"That was a gospel folk jazz song."

About You Are My Sanity, originally called Mountain View,...
"I wrote this while sitting on top of a mountain." (Enough said.)

And Then They Were Free...
"This song is dedicated to all the non-violent offenders out there. And hopefully they too will be free someday."

My last one for now...
"This next song is called Space Monkey Diary, because that's really what we all are here on Earth."

This is a great thread. Most of these I heard, but loved hearing again, but I never heard the one from the Key Club show! That one is priceless! Ditto on the thanks, dirtysloth!

I didn't make it to the Key Club show until it was over (don't remember why) so I never got to hear Tim say that. Thanks for sharing!

I think we should start a "Favorite Tim Quotes" thread

"This song is called try a little harder, it's about how when you can't get an erection, you get a muscle man magazine and look fo the viagra ad"

Even better was stuff he says during the puke matrix tours!

"That song was dedicated to George Bush Jr. I don't know if he masturbates as much as Sr."

"This guitar is called sister, this guitar is called brother. I'm the bus driver and we're coming home from school."

along with...

"This song is called 'Feeling Doors'. It was giving the name by my daughter, so I don't know what it means. But she does."

Those are among my favorite quotes from his shows. Not to mention all the "Little Sister" stuff.
