Posted - 05/20/2003 : 6:15:31 PM Im currently mastering how Tim plays the solo to Jimi Thing in the December 98 tours, the same with Crush and Two Step (from 10-31-98 to 12-17-98) because I think they are GREAT examples of tim at his best (his metal era was pretty damn cool)
Anybody have a favorite tim era I should look at (The LALC CD tour was pretty tight too, might check those out)
Thanks in advance

It's probably my favorite of any of Tim's stuff, and it's a good way to catch some "Glimpses" of his 80's era. His tone is totally different from what it is now - sounds like he's using a strat - he's got some single coil sounds coming through, along with chorus, which he doesn't seem to use anymore. Plus some cool Hendrix-like octavia and uni-vibe sounds. |

Any Tim Era is great stuff in my book. I'm found of the '97 acoustic stuff. Things like "Gossip of the Neurons". I'm definitely on a big "Chaos View" kick. |
