From the board at www.nancies.org:

"Tims Bus Hit Car After Oxford Show
by erik on 6:12 PM 04-01-03

I couldnt believe it when I saw it. Me and a few other guys were standing around behind Millet Hall last night after the show, and well after Dave had left, people dispersed. There was me and 3 other guys standing around waiting for Tim because his bus was still there. So finally Tim came out and wouldnt sign anything and hopped right onto his bus. I mean, come on, there was only 3 of us. Anyways, the bus started up and made an immediate sharp left turn to maneuver out of the parking lot, swinging around and just missing the other bus there for the crew, and totally wipes out the side of this black honda civic parked there. The bus had so much force it like picked the car up and move it a few feet. It completely ruined the back and side of the car, and scraped Tims bus up pretty well, knocking some pieces off, including the wheel cover and lugnut covers, which I discreetly picked up 2 of them and walked away. I still cant believe it. The guy driving got out, checked the car, then his bus, got in his bus, opened up some book, did something, I couldnt see what, and then drove away. The show also kicked ass with the return of BOWA. Its about time. PEACE"

Waldo, who runs nancies, and Fluffy, who is tims tour manager, have already mentioned they havent heard anything in this thread. Now, you would think something like this wouldve turned up already right? since obviously there was no credible information in this thread as per your comment, at least logicaly after 2 1/2 weeks something like this would surface.

Yet more proof of the falseness of this report on the original date. I can't imagine Tim avoiding 3 fans waiting outside for his autograph.

It was a pretty horrible DVD, I must admit, lol. Some guy named Rob Seals "local musician" kept saying some pretty pointless things. I think Tayloe actually said that Miller's was immortalized in the song Bartender...which is about Dave's bartending days at Miller's. I think he needs to look over the lyrics again .

Jeez what did Tayloe get himself into? Maybe the reason he looked uncomfortable???? Never heard of PTG before this.hummmm

Whoa...that's bizarre. I'm not a native of the C-ville area, however I was there recently and watching a rather humorous DVD about DMB called Plugging the Gap, and they interviewed him. The DVD was more funny than informative, lol. I don't know him personally, so I can't obviously speak about him but he seemed pretty uncomfortable on camera and said some bizarre things. All in all the DVD was slightly informative, slightly humorous and very Dave focused. I had hoped to see more about the other band members.

Oh, lord, Tayloe did the PTG interview? I wouldn't touch those guys with a ten-foot pole. Nobody in town would talk to them...or so I thought. :)

Heh. One and the same. He loves on the eastern shore, now, but he's a Charlottesvillian.

Are you a local boy?

Hey Waldo, I was just getting ready to post a link to this topic in the other forum, guess you already addressed my other question. I kind of doubted it, but with it being April Fools Day and all. Glad to see you checking in and keeping them on their toes.
Erich Posted - 04/02/2003 : 01:28:37 AM

Note that this was (apparently) posted on the boards. People post all kinds of insane nonsense there. This wasn't something that we posted as news or anything. We reserve that for special John Mayer insane nonsense. :)

Hmm, yeah, it is April Fool's day after all. The elaborate John Mayer hoax was pretty damn funny, but I didn't believe it for a second of course. I guess I finally did end up getting hosed today! Damn it!
Fluffy Posted - 04/01/2003 : 7:05:59 PM
I doubt it, as there was a post in another section of the board that mentions that Nancies.org did a spoof of their website or something for April Fools day. I tried to check it out but the link didn't work. They may have taken it down already. So as for the story, it may be a fraud, I haven't heard anything about that.
