there seemto be two Offering shows that are circulating. One is the one from last years reunion, and the other is the official Offering cd taped in i think '93. Do any more exist?

thanks for the info Fluffy, and thanks to Mike for the update and the information. I would love to see that show as an official release, it would be the first full length live release i can say i was at .

And im quite enjoying "Up", great album

Here is Mike's email reply to your question Erich:

High, all.

Fluffy hipped me to this thread. The only Offering that should be
circulating (at least that orginates from us) are the album (May '91 show)and the Knitting Factory reunion concert.

As to the latter, Greg and I are in the process of mastering it for possible release, either as a download or as a disc. This was a simple two-mic ambient recording and apparently there was a fair amount of PA buzz. We're wrestling with this issue before we release it. I'll keep Fluffy posted.

Update on the second Soko album is that we've be working on it fitfully for several years now, and frankly, I'm getting discouraged that it will ever get done with the same band. Our schedules just don't seem to intersect in a way that allows us to complete it. So, either it'll die on the vine or I'll have to figure out a new way to produce these tunes. They may end up being recorded for solo piano or I might follow Tim's lead and use machines. Perhaps different musicians. Again, I'll keep y'all posted. Thanks for the support -- it means a ton to me.

I hope everyone has a copy of Peter Gabriel's Up.

Take it light,

Michael

I have been in email contact with SOKO lately, so I will ask him about your question. He did tell me he is working on a new master of the SOKO show and hopes to have copies soon. So we can look forward to that. As an added note of interest, which should come as no surprise, he is working on it with Greg Howard. I bet it will sound great. That's all for now, I will let you know anything else I hear.
