Posted - 09/12/2002 : 02:49:54 AM I read your question to TR and he said the same thing as pcbdmb, then I read pcbdmb's answer. So TR says, "Yeah, what HE said!". As for a semi hollow body he says the Gibson 335 or 135 is great but they are expensive.

Posted - 09/12/2002 : 02:33:01 AM If you want to go fast, you'll have to have a pick.......unless you want to be fast at fingerpicking, that is. Just practice with the pick and it'll get better.

Posted - 09/11/2002 : 03:23:19 AM Hey Clarence, I got a chance to ask TR your question tonite at dinner. His first response was a Les Paul. After a little thought, he also came up with an Ibanez 335, I think he said or the jazz musicians choice, the Gibson Semi-hollow body. He says they work great for the jazz sound. He also mentioned some top end stuff but said that the first three were comparable and much cheaper. Hope this helps. If you need more details, LMK.

Posted - 09/09/2002 : 4:32:24 PM Something with a semi-hollow body. An Epiphone Casino or Dot comes to mind. Or a Gretsch (SP?).

And get one that you'll be attracted to enough so that you'll want to play it.
I don't think that's wise........it could lead to......incidents.
But what I think Clarence_chung_zm wants is a professional opinion. I, for example, have two guitars, and I didn't pick out either of them (because they were surprise presents). Paul Stanley picked them out for me........and I have no complaints......except that I'm spending a lot of money on strings for my 12-string because the high G keeps breaking.....but that would happen with any 12-string.

Posted - 09/06/2002 : 11:27:54 AM Peter White, I understand that it'd be cool to have TIM suggest a guitar for you to get, but why exactly do you want to know? I mean, right it'd be cool...but what else?
Get a guitar that sounds like you want it to. And get one that you'll be attracted to enough so that you'll want to play it.
Ah well, I guess you already knew that stuff. It's cool tho..
