Make sure you let me know which mp3 it's for as well. Also please delete these files after you listen to them, I will be uploading the loseless version as soon as it is tracked. I dont want crap being spread.

Yeah, I am really reminded of the 1997 single disc show on Archive when I listen to this stuff. I'm going to check out your 1997 show tomorrow Jsemon.

I'll give these a shot tomorrow, although I remember from the tapes that they were a lot of improv, and like Mr. Arthen says, they are in the vein of Gossip of the Neurons (one continuous set)

This is a lot of fun! I haven't listened to any "old" shows for a while. It's great to hear so much improv and jamming. All of this stuff is so much jazzier than what he's been playing lately. I guess he's drifted to more of a bluesy sound...

Either way, it's all GREAT!

November show Disc 2:

00:00 Some really tight sections. Improv? Might be a song I don't know or a cover I don't recognize.
04:58 Really jazzy section. This could go either way, but I don't recognize it.
07:29 Noise improv
13:23 Neil Young stuff: "After the Gold Rush" -> "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" -> "After the Gold Rush"
17:45 "MERCY STREET" by Peter Gabriel! Bad Ass! He jams it out, I'd leave it as one track.
23:30 Sounds like more improv
24:55 Bach classical stuff. 'Courante'?
26:58 "Stream"
33:40 He goes into an improv.
39:25 New rock out section. I don't know if it is improv or not. And then improv stuff until the end.

That's what I got for the second half of the November '96 show.

I'm listening to the first 1996 mp3 right now. So far, it sounds like he is doing a lot of pedal improv stuff, very similar to Hermetic Dew Drops or Gossip of the Neurons off of the album of the same name.

00:00 Improv
06:35 "Impermanence" (and a really groovy version if I might add)
12:10 Sounds like more improv but the stuff around 15:00 could be something else. Someone else should check this part, but I'm calling it improv. This stuff goes on for a while. Very similar to GotN stuff.
22:32 Classical stuff that he always plays. I can't identify these parts, but it sounds like three sections, and the third I don't know if I have heard it before.
25:13 Sounds like "Continue" (I'd like confirmation on this one too)
26:02 Back into the "soundscapes"
27:30 He drops it down, loops that bassline. This could be improv, but it sounds familiar. EDIT! It sounds like "From This World"! Wow!
28:30 More improv
29:42 Slap happy section. Very funky. But I think this is more improv. (I would think about classifying 27:30 - 31:30 as an improv heavy "From This World", anyone else got suggestsions?)
31:30 "Big Blast of Hot Air"! God its great to hear this song again
33:55 More Improv stuff. Very atmospheric.
38:55 "Offspring" with noise intro
43:32 Leaves "Offspring" directly into improv, but it sounds really structured at the end.

That's what I've got for the first 1996 MP3. This is some great stuff, it's nice hearing another old GotN style show. Hope that helps.
