uhm, you DO NOT split this into 2 dvds. you HAVE to burn it onto a dual/double layer disc. NO EXCEPTIONS

did you run the checksum to make sure none of the files are corrupted?
Gotcha. This is the first DVD I've downloaded that required dual disc burning. Usually anything bigger than a typical DVDR was split into two discs.
As for the checksum, I didn't have time this morning. I'll have to try it this afternoon. |

2 questions:
1) How should this be burned without a dual layer disc? I'm not sure how to divide it up properly.
2) On VLC Media Player, the menu comes up fine. When I choose a song, it just freezes. When I tell it to start from the intro, I hear crowd noise for about 5 seconds and it freezes. |

Posted - 03/11/2006 : 1:16:59 PM ah hell, maybe I'll just go buy a drive in a few days. the DL version of the lite on drive I have now is like 70-80 bucks |

Posted - 03/11/2006 : 12:13:17 PM I have a Sony 16x DL DVD burner, and absolutely love it. I've had it for about 6 months now. I got it for ~$80 then, so I am sure they are cheaper now.
As far as Blank DL DVDRs, I use Verbatim. I have been getting them in 10 pks for $20-$25. The DL blanks are up there in price right now, but they will come down in time just like single layers did. I know Memorex DLs are pretty common in stores, but I just don't trust that brand. I have had no problems with the Verbatim DLs. |

Posted - 03/11/2006 : 12:01:36 PM looks great. what do you guys recommend for DL dvds? I'm still in the stone age with my single layer burner. |

Posted - 03/11/2006 : 11:42:12 AM OK folks...here are the menus and cover art. Just a tease. Hopefully it will all be done in the next few days. Definately a DL DVD. It is well over 7GB.

Yeah I thought I had a great angle and everything but unfortunately the camera jacked up the recording and it's all choppy. I was getting a message about condensation after we first got in the building, I assume it was from standing out in the cold. Looks like it's time for a new camera for me :( |

Posted - 03/09/2006 : 12:29:27 PM lookin' good. did the left/front cam have problems? I got a few peeks at his LCD during the show and it looked like he had a great shot.
I'd offer to help spread but I don't have a DL burner as of yet. |

Hey man for sure post that note here when you upload it. I'll get the show that way and be happy. :) Thanks man, and thanks for tbrown getting this out. Also for the dvd. So much to look forward to. |

Posted - 03/08/2006 : 6:52:37 PM the tracking is a little off. you have d1t12 listed as Hold On I'm Coming, when its actualy a 19 second blip before Dreaming. I dont even think he played Hold On, but i'll go back to check. Skull Mansion is "Brain's Skull Mansion", and he does a noise piece after the Hawkwind cover called "The Radiant Vastness of the Rainbow Flame - Mass Drop" (as per fluffy's setlist). Cold Sweat has an "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" [beatles] interpolation.
Id be happy to just do a simple tweaking of the audio and then upload the product of that to the archive. Id also hate to see a 19 second misname on the dvd, those are more of a bitch to deal with.
And hey, feel free to drop me a note about that other show that needs tracking.
