Posted - 02/17/2006 : 12:53:44 PM I'm sure that you get this question all the time, but are there any alternative websites to get .mp3 versions of Tim's performances?
I'm not a big fan of the ID or Petroglyph(probobly spelled wrong) albums, but I am a big fan of his live stuff. I am aware of the archive website of tapings in .shn format. If someone knows a way to convert those to .mp3 then that would be great too, however I have a feeling that he does not allow that.
I check back to this website about once every 30 minutes to see if the FTP is up yet. I'm addicted! |

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 7:56:22 PM When you took this project on, did you expect to need to administer, design, manage, and provide support for the FTP all by yourself?
Tough job but it makes you a much better nerd. Once again I appreciate what you do. Honestly if it wasn't for your efforts I don't think I'd have never gotten to listen to TR apart form a jam on Live at Redrocks from DMB. |

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 5:14:50 PM Its been up. It gets slammed all day with people, so a lot of the time the server is at is user max. Keep tryin' though.
Let me know if you really can't get in when the indicator says its online. We can figure something out. Email me if that is the case, and reference your screen name in the email so I know who you are. |

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 3:17:34 PM Thanks for the kind words peewee_zz! I'm glad you are getting TR music. Sorry to hear that you are not an ID and Petroplyph fan. If you like the acoustic stuff more, which it sounds to me that you may, check out the videos and earlier audio recordings of TR. They tend to be more akusedik-focused than the later shows closer to the Chaos View tour.
That being said, all of the new shows on the current tour are acoustic focused (from what I hear...I will know for sure in Cleveland). You may want to check those out soon.
As to other sites having TR's music...your best bet is to hang around these boards. This is THE place to find all TR material.
Let me know if that helps in any way. Thanks. |

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 1:17:30 PM I just read a very very long thread by prsmartin about him starting his own ftp to replace the old one and noticed that the Ip's from his signature and the one from the main page match up. I really appreciate prsmartin's hard work and dedication for the whole thing. I in now way want to down his services as he's going above and beyond for all us other fans.
Thanks a lot.. Also thanks to John V, I'm not quite sure why I just said that but it sounds about right. |
