Posted - 01/07/2004 : 02:04:00 AM an ebow is this little device that ya hold over a string and it vibrates so you have infinite sustain.. knob settings on the dl4 vary... i adjust them to match whatever im playing at the time... im always tweaking.. |

Posted - 01/06/2004 : 11:15:48 PM Yeah I have the Ernie Ball VP Jr. and a DD-5, but its hard to keep up with notes that are being played fast like in some of Tim's intros. Thanks for the info! By the way, do you have any nob settings for delay when swelling? And whats an ebow? |

Posted - 01/06/2004 : 10:21:36 AM the dl4 has an auto volume echo thing that swells but that wasnt enough for me... i wanted to control the swells so i bought an ernie ball volume pedal... so if you just want to do swells get a volume pedal... (use an ebow, some delay, and reverb and it sounds so sweet... almost makes ya cry) i mainly use the dl4 for loops but i use delay on the loops so it works out... i didnt really check out the Boss but the Boomerang looks real sweet if youre a looper... its just too much money... anyway, i think i answered your question... |

Posted - 01/06/2004 : 12:00:02 AM The line 6 delay does volume swells. You can adjust it to do all kinds of diferent swells too. Although you can't loop stuff and then swell over it with the auto volume echo (that's what the effect is called). As I've stated in many other threads though the line 6 is awesome but check out the Boss Loop station if you just want to loop I heard it was awesome. |
