i hear this effect on some of Tim's solo songs when hes in concert with Dave. i'll try to emulate it but i don't know if this will help. Wah wah Wah wah Wah-that effect with a classical tune. Thanks

I think that the effect that you are thinking of would definitely a volume swell. He didn't use a Wah pedal on the tour from what I know of, so I think you are hearing a volume swell. Use a volume pedal to emulate, but good luck doin' it like the master!!!

If it's the song I'm thinking of, it may be Segovia. Go on the archive and download it from the 2003 show.

Also, does anyone know the name of that classical riff? I'm almost positive it's not the one under the tabs section as "Classical tune"
