Any idea of what Tim uses as the background loop on Mercy Street? I can't figure it out...or anything close to it. |

Just takes practice to slap like that. I'm just about at the point where I can slap specific strings if I want, and I've built up some speed too...
As for the harmonic part, I like:
d-----7-----5---
a---7-----5-----
d-7-----5-----5-
...but it doesn't really matter exactly how its done, it's just filler for the background. |
