I have a Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal and I just bought a Boss RC-20 loop station (coming in the mail hopefully tomorrow). How do I hook it up to play through an amp so that I can loop but when I use the volume pedal it dosent change the volume of the loop but just what im playing at that moment. Is this possible with going from guitar--->rc-20--->volume--->amp or do i need other types of equipment. How does Tim do it? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

All you do is hook it up so the vol pedal is first in your setup, then it will only alter what you are playing at that moment. As for Tim's setup, though I don't actually know for sure, I would guess that he does it the same way, otherwise he couldn't get swells while he had a loop going.
