Posted - 02/22/2003 : 02:51:45 AM ok hey everyone, i just wanna start out by saying that tim reynolds is one of the most talented guitarist i have ever heard, after listening to live at luther college with him and dave matthews, i was blown away. since i have gotten the cd, which was months ago, i havent been able to stop listening to it. but one thing that is really making me mad.
I CANT FIGURE OUT THE SOLO;S IN THE SONG "TRIPPING BILLIES"
I mean i figured out the second solo, but thats it, i have yet to figure out the 1st and 3rd solos out completely, i mean especially the blazing scale part he does in the first solo.
PLEASE RESPOND IF YOU HAVE THE TAB OR KNOW WHERE TO FIND THE TAB ON THE INTERNET, I WOULD MOST APPRECIATE IT. THANKS EVERYONE |

Posted - 02/23/2003 : 2:00:20 PM Hey guys,
This whole song was completely tabbed out in an issue of Guitar One a couple of years ago. I have it, but i'm not sure where it is. I think you can order previous issues, so check around, i think it's from '99 and i'm sure it has Tom Morello on the cover. I'll try to find it. However, Silky, you did a really good job on the solo, i'm pretty sure that's exactly how they tabbed it. But if you're interested in all the other parts, they're all tabbed in that magazine. |

Posted - 02/22/2003 : 11:04:37 PM Notice the edit above... the second to last 2 notes are definitely a typo.
There are a few options for slowing stuff down... in winamp, just download the plugin called Pacemaker. Or, if you want to slow down your cd's, you can use a program called Slow Gold. I'll get to that third solo ASAP, but it may be a few days before I have that kind of time. Glad I could help.
Edit: Christ I must have been smoking crack earlier... there's a typo at the end of the second one too which I just fixed. |

Posted - 02/22/2003 : 10:59:35 PM hey man, thanks, i believe you, thats exactly what i was thinkin when i saw all these notes at the end and didnt know what to do with it, the man just plays them too fast!, haha, well thanks for helping out and stuff, and oh yea where can i get one of those things that slow songs down, but yet keep the same pitch???? i see stuff on here that i can download, but it like costs money, and im not about to spend 20 bucks on it, i would appreciate it if u could tell me, and dont forget about that 3rd solo, thanks silky |

Posted - 02/22/2003 : 10:53:13 PM I'm about 99% sure it is... I used a plugin in winamp to slow it down and get it note for note. When it slowed down, it sounded a bit different then what I generally hear when I listen to the song... but I think it's just because he honestly plays so fast that the notes at the end go faster than we can even comprehend them, which is scary. Only thing would be if I typed it in wrong or just managed to forget to put a few notes in, but what I was playing on my guitar was definitely it, and I could tell the faster I would play it. It's entirely possible that I muffed something when I typed it in because I didn't double check my work thouroughly when I was through. I can't check on my guitar right now to see if it's a typo, but I will later and let you know.
Edit: I can't play it at the moment, but I can kinda play it in my head and I did type the last few notes wrong. It should read 7-5-4 rather than 5-7-4... I'll double check it later when I can with my guitar. |

Posted - 02/22/2003 : 12:27:32 PM Hell if I know, but I must admit...the solo at 3:18 is phenomenal. I'm partial because that's my favorite DMB or T+D song, but you have to admit hehe. Preachin' to the choir. |

Posted - 02/22/2003 : 07:56:04 AM I don't know why, but this seems to suddenly be a huge topic for everyone. A lot of people are asking, but no one's telling. Sorry man. I would assume that a rabid DMB or TR guitar fan will figure it out soon. Good luck. |
