that section is correct except for the transition he plays an open d string and then a d chord formation that runs up the fretboard....i'll try and post a tab of the whole thing sometime soon

No.....you misunderstand. I know that's the tab from the tab section, what I saying is that there's something missing from that part of the tab on the D string.

.........than what? the one in the tab section? That one is pretty easy, just practice it a little bit. And while we're on the subject, I think that there's another note in the part where he goes like this when he plays the 5 (d string)........listen to it.
