That is definitely the FUNNIEST picture ever. Strawberry YooHoo almost came out my nose when I saw it. Shouldn't have taken a drink right at that TIMe!

Try looking at a fabric store. Walmart also might have it. Maybe even the walmart fabric store.

where can i get large strips of velcro,
or rolls of it?

I find that camera bags are perfect because they have those moveable, velcro pads insdie the bags. A good place to start might be www.tamrac.com.

I have tims pedal board, it is really great actually. i cant think of the name of it, and i dont have it w/ me right now, (at rents house for break) but its really really good, u can plug your pedals into the strip on the board so u only have to worry about one power source. and can have two chains set up if u want. i'll let u kow when i get back.

Drum store's have bag's for Cymbols, large rectangular gig bag type bag's, i think that would be perfect.

A friend of mine just went to a lumberyard and got a big piece of wood, and painted it black (we wouldn't want anythign to NOT be gothic would we?) and covered it with velcro. Then he superglued the other half of the velcro to the bottoms of his pedals, a power strip, and one of those units that provides power to a lot of pedals at once, cant think of what theyre called , it actually seems to hold pretty well, and he can change the arrangement with a simple "rrriiiipppp" sound. All he has to worry about now is that he can NEVER sell those pedals, unless the person he sells them to has a velcro pedalboard as well. That and the board is kind of hard to carry, he has to carry it flat, becasue he's worried that the pedals will fall off. We've been trying to think of some way he could make a cover for it or something...any ideas on that? He wants to turn it into like a giant suitcase so he can just pick it up and go.

Me, I'm still in the dark ages, lugging all my pedals everywhere, and setting them all up everytime i want to play, and tearing it all down when I'm done. It's just so much fun, I don't want to get a pedalboard and ruin it.

enthuTIMsiast Posted - 05/01/2002 : 12:44:35 PM
Well, I'd start with ... pedals... and then add some.... wires and whatnot.... and then maybe a plug...

You'll definately need duct tape.

Maybe superglue (invented by the grandfather of an awol member here).

And... .... ..... some.... .... ... . . .. .. . . stuff.... that I can't think of....
