I have a Taylor with one of those pickups at the bridge. I have no on-board stuff on it..just a straight shot from that to the amp. What do I need to get the power and bass of that pickup, without turning my amp to full blast?

If you felt like dishing out more cash...you could by an equalizer. they are not that expensive and can work miracles as far as tone is concerned.
