It also sounds good if played drop "D" like so:
E---------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------
G------------x---x----------------------------
D---2---x----x---9(x)-2(x)--------------------
A---2---9----10--9----2-----------------------
D---2---12---10--9----2-----------------------
And repeat... I think this sounds pretty on, but I've never "seen" it done so I'm not sure. Let me know if you think that sounds right.
