I have the boss dd5 and the morely volume/wah and I suck. How do I do the spacey sounds tim does and make it sound more like a violin and less like wah as he does?

Any tips or settings?

any websites that tell you how.

Please email me if you can cohiba06@msn.com

True, for the price its good.

I think the BOSS OC-2 is the best octave pedal you can get, instead of going with a big board like pedal, i like the good old stomp boxes..

Another thing to not even use the volume pedal...this is for electric...use your pinky to create swells with the volume nob. Its pretty cool and with some practice you casn get real fast with it. Another awesome pedal is the BOSS OC-2 Octavte pedal, you can get one ebay for like $60 or like $90 new, i definatly reccommend it. later

Try bending the note a little while swelling the volume. You could use a slide with mode 6 on the dd-5, it sounds cool

Do I need to do anything with the WAH/VOLUME PEDAL? Is that what will give me that spacey sounds like in the twostep intros?

Just use it

A DD-5 and a volume pedal is all you need for that. Mode 3 with feedback and delay time up quite a bit will give you what you're looking for. The best way to learn is definitely(and Tim will tell you this too) to experiment. Have fun with it and see what you come up with!

Peace,
Patrick

put the dd5 on #4.... e level at what u would like.... f back around... o.... 11 o clock or so... and d time at about 11 as well... u can adjust the f back and d time to make it sound the way u want... but that will be a decent starting point.

Just use the "search" feature on this board... there have been tons of posts about DD-5 settings and the like.
