I will be video taping the Salt Lake show and I was wondering if anyone had any tips. I know to get there early, but would Tim not be down with me being in the front row pointing a camera at him? Also, is there a way to make sure I get a good audio feed? Camera mics aren't often that great and I want to make sure I get Tim playing and not the heavily intoxicated folks around me on the audio part.
What is the best format to put the video into so it can be uploaded and dled by everyone? (AVS, MPG, etc)
And by the way, how old is Tim?
Thanks,
Dalin

WELL... in houston last year, 12.5.00 i believe... abel and i taped w/ his digital video camera and fluffy hooked us up very nicely w/ a soundboard feed directly to the camera. we were up on a balcony w/ the camera on a tripod and a cord from the board up to the camera. the tape came out pretty nice.... it is available for download somewhere... check it out!!! i'll be there hopefully to do it again this year!! :)

If you go to the taping policy on TimReynolds.com at the bottom there is a great link to things you may need to bring and how to treat the soundman. A great reference to answer your question! Peace Fluffy

1> Out of respect for the crowd, dont put it front row. thats not cool cause people behind you will get blocked. be on the side or in the back and have a good zoom.

2> There are some videos that have soundboard feeds for the audio, but i dont know if thats from plugging the camcorder into the board or having a seperate audio and mixing them together. someone should have the answer to that though...

3> most timmy videos that ive seen get converted to MPG, and then split 3 ways to fit on 3 discs. Thats IMHO te best way to do it.

4> Tims in his early 40's i think.
