Posted - 09/06/2001 : 5:15:53 PM Hey, while reading the post about guitar players, I just wondered what all the musicians here use for equipment. Whether you play piano, sax or guitar, post your stuff here. Heres what I use Electric: Gibson Les Paul Studio Gothic with modified EMG 81 and 85 pickups Epiphone Les Paul Standard Zoom GFX-707 Morley Wah/Volume Boss RV-3 Boss DD-5 Line 6 Delay Modeler And for amp I either mic my Fender Ultimate Chorus and send it through the house (what I prefer) , or use my Marshall half stack (if its a larger venue, and the house sound either sucks, or is non existent)
Acoustic: Gibson Chet Atkins SST Charvel Jackson Acoustic/Electric Martin D15 w/fishman electronics Morley Wah/Volume Boss RV-3 Boss DD-5 Line 6 Delay Sansamp Direct Box And I usually go through the house sound, but I recently got a Crate acoustic amp, which sounds great, so I use that sometimes too. I usually mic my acoustics with a Shure SM58 mic as well as going direct.
So what about everyone else?
And on the 8th day God created the art of war...and laughing, planned the end. |

Posted - 09/07/2001 : 12:10:16 AM Hi my name is Arthen, and I'm a musicholic!
I play, a 1972 (original) LesPaul eletric guitar, two pickups. Normal ernie ball strings at the moment, it's all I can afford! I prefer playing with a Capo on my acoustic which is an old Fender, also from the early seventies. I don't know why, but I love playing a G chord with Capo on the sixth. Also higher solos sound better to my ears anyways.
Also I play the piano, but not all that well.
Keep tapin and tradin. |

Posted - 09/06/2001 : 7:50:29 PM [hoping I count as a musician....]
I play a Martin Sigma black 6 string. No pickup (thank goodness, cause then I might actually play LOUD, which would be bad).
Also an Alvarez 12 string that is bad ass. Pickup built in, that's all I know about it.

Electric: Fender U.S. Standard Telecaster('96) Fender Blues Junior 30 watt amp(tweed, don't let the name or 30 watts fool ya, it's a kickass tube amp - 2 6BQ5's, 3 12AX7's) Ernie Ball Stereo Volume/Pan pedal Vox wah Ibanez Turbo Tubescreamer Boss DD-5
Some more effects I use sometimes, but not usually in my setup... Boss PH-2(phaser) Boss CE-5(chorus) E-bow
Acoustic: Gibson Chet Atkins SST ('99) Ernie Ball Stereo Volume/Pan pedal Boss DD-5 SWR Strawberry Blonde 80 watt amp
I'm definitely going to get the Line 6 DL-4 delay, probably within the next couple of weeks. Not about to get rid of the DD-5 though. I'll probably use the DL-4 mostly for loops and the DD-5 for echo.
