For those interested, SOKOBAND, formerly SOKO, is about to release their new CD, also called SOKOBAND, dedicated to LeRoi Moore and Johnny Gilmore, in March. Mike Sokolowski and Houston Ross did a great interview in C'ville which you can hear at the following link:
http://1061thecorner.com/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=4333927

DMB fans will be interested in previously unheard cuts from LeRoi Moore. Outstanding SAX!!! Also featured on the album are, Nir Z who played with Genesis for a bit and of course our guitar god Tim Reynolds as well as numerous other outstanding musicians. SOKOBAND is an updated version of In November Sunlight, although in my opinion, it is so much better than INS, that except for the songs being titled the same, they are nothing alike. Dave Matthews sings on Jiriki.

You can visit www.sokoband.com for more information. They have a new web design in the works, I am not sure if it is up yet, but will be soon, so if you go there and don't see anything about the new album there, wait a week or so and hopefully it will be up soon.

I have a copy of the yet unreleased CD and I have to say I love it so much. Great music to relax to, feel good music.

Will do Ben. BTW, you are one of the members from this board that I always wanted to meet in person. When I get back on my feet again and can drive, I will have to meet you, hopefully at a SOKOBAND, TR, OR TR3 show! A lot of great message board members here in the east, Teri,Dave Cahill, Jarred, Liz, Jon Soldo, Patrick, and others I can't think of right now. Very nice group. One thing I will always be thankful to TR for is the fact that through his music, I met so many awesome people I would never have crossed paths with otherwise.

Great to hear! Thanks for sharing the info, Pam. Keep us updated, especially if there are any opportunities to hear Soko live. Now that I live in VA I can actually make that kind of thing happen.
