I keep realizing it. 45 is too young, and there was too much music left in him.

Listening to Weed in the car last night the exact phrase in the title of this thread went through my mind. My favorite Chris song changes from time to time, but I've been rather obsessed with this one lately:

Dude, I found out about him the day after he died. The worst, I'll never get to see him live. I woulda bothered the piss out of him as much as I do Tim!

Totally. Any time music comes up with friends and co-workers, I tell them they must hear Chris. Not one person has said they didn't like his music. So honest. One of my friends actually commented that listening to him on an album like Dirt Floor is like he just sat down with the guitar and played and sang without having anything written beforehand. I think that was a special quality Chris had. To seem like he was just telling a story with each song.

This thought crosses my mind every time I listen to his music. Words can't describe how much I love his music and how sad it is that he's gone.

I know man, I miss him everyday too. I'm glad we got each other and will be talking about him for the rest of our lives. Home is Where You Get Across.
