If lets say Dave and Tim decided to finally hit the road again, what do you think tims stylistic progression would add to the show?

Back in '99 tims most recent stuff was stuff that would later be part of See Into Your Soul, and here in '01 nearing '02 weve got a huge incerase in selection of tunes, including a few even newer ones (Drunk Roadrunner, Doom). Not to mention, Tims jamming has gotten infinatly weirder and sonically more diverse with his newer accoustic setup.

So what do you think he would add thats new Daves songs? And what do you think he would do with his solo jamming?

I don't think Tim plays what Dave wants him to per se. I just think Dave trusts Tim, and Tim is talented enough to pick up whatever he can that the band would normally plan and to add whatever he thinks is in the spirit of the song.

The Space Between has a very pretty acoustic version (i don't think its on a bari but i could be wrong). Anyway i could see Timmy fattening that up a bunch and thats kind of an exciting thought. Other than that i'd hope they'd stick more to Lillywhite tunes. Grace is Gone or Captain (sp) etc. are soo pretty, and i'm sure Tim could do wonderful things with them.

Anyway I don't think the past years since the last D&T tour have changed the way Tim emotionally reacts to Dave's music, so I don't think we'll notice any major differences. Unless Tim has some Modes or scales that he has grown to prefer over the years that he might use more often to express the emotions he feels from Dave's music.

Maybe Tim could help breathe some live into the empty excuses for songs that are the album Everyday.

Just a little aside here... The Summer So Far is the same thing, (at least basically, and from what I understand) as the Lillywhite Sessions.

But on topic...I think Tim would add just exactly what he has always added to Dave's stuff. It's been basically the same since their first tour (back in 93?). I mean stylistically the same. His solos might be different. Less Stream, You Are My Sanity, Hopeful Heresy, and more stuff off some other album. The newer one, what is it ID or Nomadic Wavelengths.

I listen to Dave And Tim a lot. I have maybe 30 shows of various tours. And I think Tim plays what Dave wants Tim to play. There's a reason it's called the DAVE and Tim tour, and not the Tim and Dave Tour. Sad as it may be. I would say more, but not without release to speak freely. I just listen to what Dave and Tim say in their tour, and how it has progressed up until 1999. It's changed a lot, in my opinion.

But enough of me actually thinking....

I would think they would do more songs off The Summer So Far... or the Lilywhite sessions! Also Tim might have mores solos to pull off on some old favorites like Jimi Thing or Lie In Our Graves, like he did in the 99 tour! He can do a lot and I think he could add a lot to the Lilywhite stuff!

Keep tapin and tradin.

That would be fucking awesome! To quote a friend "Wicked Sweet"! They would have to stop by Sacramento! They did in 99, but alas, I missed them !
