Who actually takes the time to put in all these links? Do people actually do it or does some computer made program or virus post them? Why the fuck would anyone waste their time doing this? Does it enrich their lives at all? Yes, I realize the answers to these questions lie in cheap and meaningless satisfactions and am ultimately just ranting about how fucking stupid all of this is, but why?

i digress......almost famous or high fidelity? just so that there could be an enjoyable note to this post.

Thank god warm weather is coming to Michigan.

Going back to the main topic, again I want to do this. Let me get this site updated. Just give me the tools and give me the passwords. I'll update the gear, I'll update the photos, I'll update everything. I will ask Jared who runs dmbtabs how to get a handle on the message boards he uses over there (no spam problems), and this site will be squeaky clean!

Just give me the stuff, and I will do it!

tenacious d is a boring novelty act and jack black is unfunny and largely unskilled. the whole "olol rawk and roll and metalz attitude, m i rite?" thing is boring. leave musical genre parody to metalocalypse and shows like it.

Unless you're Pee Wee's junk or a little boy, don't sweat those two.

Anywho, Jack Black is just another performer; and, particularly in the rock idiom, there is some level of ego involved with getting on stage and rawking. I am sure he's a decent dude. I have a bootleg DVD of Tenacious D from the Wiltern in LA from 2001 that is pretty entertaining, mind you, I am not a fan. (I dont actively listen to their music, though I'd probably see them live.)

I would like to think that I have never been stuffed full of hard cock. My asshole is exit only up until this point and I plan on keeping it that way. God forbid I visit a High security prison or get trapped alone with Pee Wee Herman or Mr. Jackson.

It seems I have placed a terrible question on my first post. Clearly High Fidelity is the superior viddy.

How does everyone feel about Jack Black, since he is in Fidelity? I feel he has a level of arrogance around him and his performing that I can't stand, at least from what I've seen in his Tenacious D Live video. He seems to throw it in the audiences face that he is a MUSICIAN and they are not. Clearly, or otherwise they would be on stage and not jack. I just think that he could bring the audience in instead of dividing himself from them. KG is clearly a much better musician.

We all get stuffed-full of the hard cock known as advertising, unfortunately.

High Fidelity, by far.

No, and it's not hard, however I think a new board would be better. If we could get a hold of the type of board that dmbtabs has (I can contact Jared. I am still on good terms with him . . . unlike the other worthless people on those boards now).

Also about updating the site, I have already said I'd be up to the task of helping to get it updated. Just give me the tools and I will willingly update it. Adding new info, pictures, update equipment, and try to get everything running.

Also, the boards being like home, if we move the boards it's still going to be the same group of people. We will just have to put on the site a note that there are new boards, and we can always keep these old boards in the background almost like archives. Plus about these boards, George Harrison said, "All things must pass."

Seriously, we need to do it. Again if people could give me the tools, and passwords and such, I can get started on it right away. I have a LOT of free time on my hands right now. I just quit my job, and getting a new part time job for 2-3 days a week. I've been spending my time writing and playing Lord of the Rings Online. So I have time right now. Again, I am perfectly willing to do this.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -Gandhi.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think it's that terrible. Sure it's bothersome when spammers come to call, but this board (as strangely sentimental as it sounds) feels like home. This is the only board I've stayed active on, I've met people through these forums, etc.

Feel free to start your own site and board and make improvements. I think the biggest hold up is issues of time. Jon S., who originally built the site when it was an "unofficial" site, now has work and committments in his life that he did not have when he started the board. Same goes with a lot of other people that used to post and have moved on. I don't have the time (or knowledge) to fix a board, I barely have the time to check on the forums as it is. But feel free to work on something new and show it to everyone. If it's there maybe everyone will just switch over, who knows?

And as for the original poster: They do it because they make money off of it, as surprising (and as sad) as that is. Secondly, High Fidelity. I have a soft spot for John Cusack.

we need a new board, PERIOD! The board needs work, the site needs work. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, but nothing ever happens.
