Hey, I am not knocking him. He obviously is very talented, I just don't feel it when he plays. Just personal preference. |

Posted - 02/12/2008 : 02:31:35 AM I like Kaki King. I also think her second album was better than the first. I also loved the interview in Guitar World Acoustic.
Also, I did only watch one video. It just didn't move me to watch anymore. The guy has talent, he's not a showoff, and I hope that he does well with his music as a living. He just doesn't grab me. |

Posted - 02/11/2008 : 10:25:03 PM I watched quite a few of the videos. Obviously he's a very gifted player. But nothing really struck me as something that I'd be particularly interested in.
I guess Gareth Pearson just isn't my cup of tea. I'll put him in the same boat as Andy McKee, Don Ross, Tommy Emmanuel, Monte Montgomery, Billy McLaughlin, Kaki King, etc. They're all insanely great guitarists who are unable to write music that interests me (of course there are exceptions) beyond their technical acrobatics.
And since I'm aways right...I guess you can't argue with me. |

Posted - 02/11/2008 : 09:38:01 AM OK. Anyone else? Maybe someone who went ahead and watched more than just the one video? |
